SCImago Institutions Rankings 2025: UEH Achieves high rankings across multiple research fields

According to the global research institution rankings in 2025 published by SCImago, many research fields of UEH continue to rank high in Vietnam.

SCImago organization includes research institutions from Spain such as the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the University of Granada, Extremadura, Carlos III (Madrid), and Alcalá de Henares. The purpose of this ranking is to provide a useful measurement tool for organizations, policymakers, and research managers to analyze, to assess, and to improve research activities and performance at universities and research institutes. In Vietnam, SCImago - a prestigious ranking - is used by organizations such as the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Nafosted Fund as one reference foundation for the scientific and technological organization evaluation process.

SCImago ranks research institutions worldwide (universities, research institutes) based on three criteria: research performance (50%), innovative outputs (30%), and societal impact (20%), with data covering a period of five years before the two years preceding publication; in terms of website indicators, data is collected from the previous year.

According to the SCImago Institutions Rankings 2025 recently published by SCImago, many research fields of UEH continue to rank higher among Universities in Vietnam. Specifically: UEH is in the Top 1 in terms of the fields of Business, Management and Accounting; Top 2 in terms of the fields of Arts and Humanities, Economics, Econometrics and Finance; Top 3 in terms of the field of Social Sciences; and newly emerging multidisciplinary fields listed as Energy, Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Engineering, Environmental Science, Mathematics, and Computer Science are ranked high at 5, 7, 9, 9, and 12 places, respectively.

The results of the SCImago 2025 ranking demonstrate that the multi-disciplinary and multi-field development directions implemented by UEH have been synchronized across all activities, including education, research, innovation, and social impact. This has positioned UEH as a multi-disciplinary and sustainable university with a significant standing in Vietnam and the region.
