Signing Ceremony for Cooperation Agreement between UEH College of Business and SAPP Education Joint Stock Company

On the afternoon of November 26, 2025, the UEH College of Business (COB), in collaboration with SAPP Education Joint Stock Company (SAPP), held a solemn Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony. The event marked a significant step in the strategy to strengthen university-enterprise connections, opening new opportunities for academic, professional, and career development for students, learners, and lecturers in the Finance and Accounting fields.

Attending the signing ceremony from COB were Dr. Tran Anh Hoa – Vice Rector of the UEH College of Business; Dr. Nguyen Tan Trung – Head of the COB Office; Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Bao An – Dean of the School of Accounting; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Phuong Vy – Vice Dean of the School of Finance; along with faculty members and students from the Schools of Finance and Accounting.

From SAPP Education Joint Stock Company, attendees included Mr. Nguyen Duc Thai – CEO of SAPP Academy; Ms. Tran Thi Kim Phung – Head of External Relations for ACCA in Ho Chi Minh City, SAPP Academy; and Mr. Bui Dang Tuan – Head of Partnership Development for the Ho Chi Minh City Region, SAPP Academy.

Distinguished guests from partner organizations included: Mr. Richard McGillivray – Senior Director, Asia-Pacific, CFA Institute; Ms. Florence Wong – Director of Partner and Client Solutions, Asia-Pacific, CFA Institute; and Ms. Le Thi Kieu Oanh – Head of Investment Advisory, FPT Securities (FPTS).

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Tran Anh Hoa, Vice Rector of the UEH College of Business, emphasized: "The signing of the MOU between the UEH College of Business and the MOAs between the Schools of Finance and Accounting and SAPP Education represents a strong joint commitment to training high-quality human resources that meet the increasingly rigorous demands of the modern labor market. Together, we will build a comprehensive educational ecosystem where students can access in-depth professional knowledge, practical skills, and clear career pathways."

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thai, CEO of SAPP Academy, shared his long-term strategic vision for the partnership between UEH and SAPP, highlighting their commitment to partnering with the University and its Schools in practice-oriented training, especially as the labor market undergoes significant transformation.

The cooperation agreement between COB and SAPP is more than just a connection between two organizations; it is a commitment to co-creating practical development opportunities for students through specialized courses, practical experience-sharing seminars, internship programs, and corporate networking. This will not only provide students with a solid foundation for entering the workforce but also cultivate a skilled talent pool ready to contribute to Vietnam's economic development.

At the ceremony, representatives from the School of Finance and the School of Accounting also signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with SAPP. This document specifies the collaborative activities between the Schools and SAPP for the 2026 academic year, promising many meaningful and practical programs for their students.

Through this signing ceremony and seminar, UEH College of Business and SAPP Education Joint Stock Company officially launched a strategic cooperative relationship, aiming for sustainable and long-term development, and sharing the goal of disseminating professional standards, promoting transparent governance, and training high-quality human resources in the fields of finance and accounting. Based on the goodwill and commitment of both parties, the cooperative contents will be implemented into specific initiatives, contributing to enhancing the effectiveness of the University's training mission and equipping students with solid, practical foundations, ready for integration and future development.

Following the ceremony, the program continued with a seminar on "Pursuing a Professional Path in Finance and Wealth Management," co-organized by the School of Finance, SAPP Academy, and the CFA Institute, with professional partnership from FPT Securities (FPTS). This collaboration offered students an up-to-date and practical academic program aligned with international standards, providing a comprehensive view of career trends in the finance sector.

In the first presentation, "Asset Classes & Professional Investment Mindset – As Vietnam Enters the Emerging Market Era," Ms. Le Thi Kieu Oanh - Head of Investment Advisory Department, Investment Analysis & Advisory Division, FPT Securities Joint Stock Company (FPTS) - provided in-depth analysis of the key asset classes in the Vietnamese market. The speaker helped students understand the mindset of a professional investor in balancing risk, return, and financial goals, while also recognizing notable shifts in capital flows as Vietnam joins the Emerging Market group.

The second presentation, "The Career Landscape - A Professional Path in Wealth Management in Vietnam," was delivered by Mr. Nguyen Duc Thai, ACCA, CEO of SAPP Academy. He provided students with a clear picture of the requirements, career opportunities, development trends, and pathways to becoming a professional in the rapidly growing field of wealth management in Vietnam.

The event continued with an in-depth panel discussion on "Global Competencies & a Professional Journey in Finance and Investment," featuring special guest Mr. Richard McGillivray, Senior Director, Asia-Pacific, CFA Institute. The session, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Phuong Vy and Dr. Nguyen Le Ngan Trang, drew enthusiastic interest from students, who posed numerous questions to the speakers, demonstrating their proactive desire to learn about future career paths, particularly in wealth management, a field that requires international competency standards and broad, deep professional thinking.
