Signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding between UEH and CPG Vietnam Co., Ltd

On the morning of January 10, 2023, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CPG Vietnam Co., Ltd for the period of 2023 - 2028. The main goal of the cooperation is to create conditions for the two sides to support each other in research, training, organizing sharing sessions, and competitions on architecture, urban design, and smart city planning and development.

 

Attending the signing ceremony on the UEH side, there was the attendance of Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Vice President; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairwoman of the Strategic and Policy Advisory Council, with other representatives of UEH. On the side of CPG Vietnam Co., Ltd. was the attendance of Mr. Soh Wee Keong - General Director; Dr. Nguyen Hubei - Senior Urban Planner; Ms. Doan Thi Tuyet Dung - Acting Corp Comms Manager and representatives of other departments/functions.

 

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh shared: “After more than 47 years of development, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has become a prestigious training, research, and consulting center in economic science, finance, business, law, management and technology, contributing to the career of construction and socio-economic development of the country. In order to implement one of UEH's strategies with the message "For a more sustainable future", UEH looks forward to receiving the companionship and attention of scientists, associations, and corporations around the world and the community of students and alumni to connect, share and spread practical values for a better life. With the achievements and development potential of CPG Vietnam in the field of urban design, technical infrastructure development, and construction, providing management services in the Asia-Pacific region, CPG Vietnam has made many contributions to the sustainable development of the community and society. Therefore, we believe that the cooperation will bring great benefits to both sides and the community.”

In the spirit of unity, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and CPG Vietnam Co., Ltd officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the terms:

 

  • Internship and employee exchange programs;
  • Cooperation in research, training, and sharing sessions on common topics;
  • Coordinating the organization of domestic and international competitions on architecture, urban design and planning, smart city development;
  • Support to organize seminars and workshops for mutual benefit.

At the signing ceremony, both sides believed that the cooperation would promote the development of their capacity and position in urban planning and smart city development and contribute to the development of the regional and global community.
