The cooperative relationship between CELG and COPA was established in 2023 through an MOA between CELG and the College of Local Administration (COLA-KKU). Over the past years, the two sides have carried out many regular cooperation activities, most notably in student exchange, internship and study programmes, faculty exchange, as well as the organisation of and participation in international conferences and academic activities.

Since June 2026, COLA has officially been renamed the College of Public Affairs and Policy (COPA), marking a new stage of development with an orientation towards expanding cooperation in public governance, public policy, sustainable development and public affairs at the regional and international levels.

The MOA has been renewed for the 2026 - 2028 period, providing a basis for CELG and COPA to continue cooperating in student and faculty exchange; research and scientific publication; participation in conferences and academic activities; exchange of materials; and the delivery of short-term academic programmes.

In particular, from August to December 2026, CELG will continue to run the international internship programme at KKU for UEH students and at UEH for KKU students. This is an opportunity for students to experience an international working environment, develop their professional capabilities and build the ability to adapt in a multicultural setting.

The renewal of the MOA affirms the commitment to long-term cooperation between CELG and COPA, while expanding the space for cooperation in training, research, academic exchange and human resource development.

Building on the strategic partnership that the two sides have steadily strengthened, CELG and COPA aim to co-create knowledge, develop human resources in the field of public governance and expand their international cooperation network, thereby generating lasting academic and social value.
