On the morning of March 6, 2025, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) held a signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), contributing to strengthening international education cooperation.
Representing UEH were Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Vice President of UEH, Dr. Tran Anh Hoa – Vice Rector of UEH College of Business (COB), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao – Deputy Head of the Department of Research, Development, and Global Engagement, Dr. Nguyen Tan Trung – Head, COB office, Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Bao An – Acting Head of the School of Accounting, along with Program Directors and Course Leaders from the School of Accounting.
On behalf of ISCA, the ceremony was attended by Mr. Tan Wei Lou – Divisional Director, Qualification, Market & Growth ISCA; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong – ISCA Vietnam Country Manager; and Ms. Ma Truc Mai – Business Development Specialist ISCA.
Based on a shared vision for training and developing high-quality human resources in the accounting and auditing fields, UEH and ISCA aim to build a strong partnership focused on raising awareness and expanding career opportunities for students. Through professional training programs, student engagement activities, and internship and job opportunities at major corporations in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, both sides are committed to bringing practical value to UEH students. Additionally, the implementation of scholarship programs, subject exemptions, and study trips to Singapore will help students access an international working environment, preparing them to become professional accountants who can contribute positively to the regional and global accounting community.

Today’s MOU signing marks the beginning of numerous collaboration opportunities, including:
+ Training and Education Initiatives: UEH and ISCA will jointly develop educational programs and host professional seminars to enhance knowledge and practical skills for students and faculty.
+ Developing a High-Quality Workforce: UEH students will have access to international professional certifications, internship programs, networking opportunities, and career pathways at top accounting firms and organizations.
Following the signing ceremony, an engaging and enthusiastic exchange session occurred between the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) representatives and students from the Accounting and Auditing Faculty. Students had the opportunity to hear from ISCA experts about the core requirements in the accounting and auditing field, recruitment processes, job and internship opportunities at major corporations in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Additionally, the experts provided practical advice on the essential skills and preparation needed for students to confidently become members of the international professional accounting and auditing community. Through this session, accounting and auditing students gained valuable insights to better prepare for their upcoming internships, opening up numerous career development opportunities.
