Signing cooperation agreement between UEH College of Economics, Law and Government and Center for Technology-Services and Community Development of Vietnamese Agriculture-Fisheries (FACOD-VIETNAM)

On the morning of October 14th, 2022, the signing ceremony of cooperation between the UEH College of Economics, Law and Government (CELG) and the Center for Technology-Services and Community Development of Vietnamese Agriculture-Fisheries (FACOD-VIETNAM) took place successfully.

 

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of UEH College of Economics, Law and Government (CELG), there were Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice Head of CELG, lecturers, and students of the School of Government (State Management) - SoG. On behalf of FACOD-VIETNAM, there was Ms. Tran Thi Thu Nga - Director of FACOD-VIETNAM; Mr. Pham Van Sang - Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Thua Duc Commune, Binh Dai District, Ben Tre Province; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Bang - Deputy Executive Board of the Community Eco-Tourism Cooperation Group in Thua Duc Commune, Binh Dai District, Ben Tre Province.

 

Delivering a welcome speech at the ceremony, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai emphasized: “The orientation of higher education associated with practical application is the training trend of the world in general and UEH in particular. With that spirit, the School of Government regularly organizes thematic scientific activities and extra-curricular activities, and seeks cooperation opportunities with other departments, agencies, public organizations, and non-profit organizations in the country and foreign universities in the field of Public Management of the School to bring as much added value to students and serve the community as possible.”

On behalf of FACOD-VIETNAM, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Nga - Director of FACOD-VIETNAM expressed her support for UEH’s practice-oriented educational activities and wished to accompany the University in knowledge-sharing activities for students, training and developing high human resources in the field of community tourism, as well as enhancing the capacity of both sides in scientific research and consulting.

In the spirit of high unity, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - representative of CELG, and Ms. Tran Thi Thu Nga - representative of FACOD-VIETNAM officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the two Units on knowledge sharing, training cooperation, scientific research, and consultancy.

In addition, within the framework of the signing ceremony, K46 students majoring in Public Management shared experiences related to the visit to the community tourism model in Thua Duc Commune, Binh Dai district, Ben Tre province on September 16th, 2022. This field trip helped students better understand the development of projects for the community.

Collaboration in the public sector is the strength of CELG to support the training and research process, contributing to increasing practicality for learners. It is expected that the cooperation relationship between CELG and FACOD-VIETNAM will achieve many good successes in the upcoming time, bringing many opportunities for learning, career development, and making positive contributions to Vietnam's economy, especially the sustainable development in community tourism.
