Starting the Acrylic Painting Workshop series at UEH

With the desire to inspire creativity, art and create a relaxing space after stressful working and studying hours to balance life, on the morning of May 19, 2024, Academy of Technology and Design (ATD) collaborating with ArtTech Hub of UEH College of Technology and Design organises the Workshop Program "Thematic Relaxing Acrylic Painting". This is the first activity to open a series of painting workshops taking place periodically every week for not only UEHers but also the community who are passionate about painting.

University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City  (UEH) has officially launched ArtTech Hub from December 2022. This is a network connecting domestic and international schools, experts, businesses, and management agencies; solving urban and professional issues based on technology and art factors; aiming for sustainable development. ArtTech Hub performs 3 main functions including: Education and training, Research and Development (R&D), network connection and development (networking). Particularly, in the Education and training function, ArtTech Hub will organise short-term courses and training programs related to the fields of communication, fashion, ArtTech, design and so on.

The workshop “Relaxing Acrylic Painting according to the theme” is the first activity to open the series of painting workshops taking place periodically at UEH of ArtTech Hub to create an art space that contributes to spreading creative inspiration in the UEHers community in particular and the art-loving community in Ho Chi Minh City in general. Coming to the Workshop with the participation of Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy - President of UEH Union; Dr. Phan Thi Bao Quyen - Vice President of UEH Union; Assoc. Prof. Trinh Thuy Anh - Vice Principal of UEH College of Technology and Design, Dean of School of Media Design, along with UEH officials, students and those who love drawing and painting.

Sharing at Workshop Assoc. Prof. Trinh Thuy Anh - Vice Principal of UEH College of Technology and Design, Dean of School of Media Design  - emphasized: "We aim that this Workshop series is not only a place to connect creative passions but also a place to bring relaxation every weekend in order to recharge energy to start a new working week for the community."

The workshop " Thematic Relaxing Acrylic Painting" was held at Campus B, from painting tools to sound and light are arranged into a unique art space creating a cosy atmosphere, stimulating participants’ creativity.

With open space, participants can interact and chat, share connections with each other, exchange experiences and admire beautiful paintings. This not only creates an art space but also builds a more friendly and connected UEH community.

Throughout the Workshop, with the dedicated guidance of highly qualified instructors, members not only learn about drawing techniques but are also guided to unleash their creativity in their paintings. People are allowed to relax, think about the subject more deeply and draw their work without any stereotypes. Each completed painting bears the artist's personal stamp.

Yen Vy, a UEH student shared: "After a stressful week of studying, we are very happy that the school also has such a colorful relaxing space. I will definitely invite more friends to join in the following sessions.”

The success of the workshop "Thematic Relaxing Acrylic Painting" is not only through the quality of the painting but also in the joy and relaxation it brings to participants. This will definitely be the motivation for  the Workshop "Thematic Relaxing Acrylic Painting" to continuously bring meaningful art activities in the future at UEH in particular and in Ho Chi Minh City in general.
