From October 10, 2023 to October 12, 2023, the UEH Student Association coordinated with the Voluntary Blood Donation Center Ho Chi Minh City to successfully organize the 47th Voluntary Blood Donation Week with the theme "Red Drops of Love" attracting the participation of a large number of teachers, officials, lecturers and students, contributing to spreading many meaningful values, pioneering spirit, volunteering and enhancing the core value of "solidarity and mutual support" in UEH culture.

From the first days of preparation full of joy and excitement

Voluntary blood donation is known as a humanitarian action, bringing noble moral values, not only helping many patients overcome critical situations but also bringing hope and opportunity for new life. Voluntary Blood Donation Week is also one of the activities to raise funds for scholarships for students who study well but are in difficult circumstances at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), specifically the "Future Brightness" scholarship.

Implementing, planning and contacting the Blood Donation Center in September 2023, through the UEH Student Association, the Organizing Committee deployed it to the Association's facilities. All the contents along with noted information about the 47th Voluntary Blood Donation Week: "Red Drops of Love" built above were transmitted and launched online through the Fanpage of the Student Volunteer - Support Committee. Support for UEH students included Blood donation conditions, Benefits of blood donation, Blood donation process, Notes before and after blood donation, etc. to raise awareness and understanding of students about Blood Donation Week as well as contributing to educating community awareness, arousing the spirit of living for everyone, and implementing a beautiful lifestyle in every student.

In the Lobby of Building B1 - Campus B, hundreds of students along with teachers and the officials of the UEH Youth Union - Student Association were present very early to line up and begin the blood donation process, creating a bustling and joyful atmosphere for Voluntary Blood Donation Week. After having a health check-up, students would be treated by doctors, members of the Volunteer - Student Support Committee, and staff in charge of blood donation from the Schools/Institutes/Dorms. The clinic guided, accompanied and enthusiastically supported the blood donation process. At the same time, the Organizing Committee wished to provide students with dedicated and complete answers concerning the regulations, conditions and requirements when participating in voluntary blood donation for a noble cause.

When participating in blood donation, each student would have a health check and blood test, as well as receiving a snack and a gift from the Blood Donation Center, a gift from the Student Association, and a certificate of recognition for participating in voluntary blood donation.

The Voluntary Blood Donation Week received a lot of attention and participation from a large number of UEHers. With each blood donation contributing 50,000 VND to the "Future Brightness" scholarship fund, the 47th Blood Donation Week contributed VND 28,900,000 to the "Future Brightness" scholarship fund from 578 blood donations corresponding to nearly 800 units of blood donated.

This was also the result of enthusiastic spiritual care and a desire to share the goal of being willing to give love through sharing blood and bringing hope and new lives  to UEH students who encounter difficulties. This produced great value; at the same time, creating a good cultural lifestyle and a civilized and meaningful UEH environment.

This was also one of the things that made this Blood Donation Week a great success. Their solidarity and willingness to contribute would create positive values for our community and learning environment.
