On February 10th, 2023, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (MOU) with Nanhua University, Taiwan - is one of the top private universities in Chiayi City, Taiwan.
On behalf of UEH, there were: Prof. Su Dinh Thanh - UEH President; Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Vice Head of the Department of Research Management and International Cooperation; Dr. Nguyen Tan Trung – Head of Administration office; Dr. Ngo Quang Huan - Dean of School of Management; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thi Thanh - Vice Dean of School of Managemet, Mr. Diep Quoc Bao, MSc - Vice Dean of School of Managemet and lecturers.
On the side of Nanhua University, there were: Prof. Tsong-Ming Lin - President of Nanhua Universit , Prof. Wann-Yih Wu Chair Professor and Vice-Chancellor in the College of Management, Dr. Chun Chun Lin - Head of the International Cooperation Department and lecturers.
To open the ceremony, Prof. Su Dinh Thanh stated: “UEH's goal is to become a leading multi-disciplinary and sustainable university with a reputation in training, research, and scientific consulting in economics, finance, business, management, and technology for business and economics in Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and Asia. Therefore, enhancing international partnerships with our distinguished partners has been one of our key focuses over the past few years. According to our agreement, we focus on cooperating with the possible exchange programs for faculty, staff, and students; establishing dual degree and/or joint degree programs; as well as co-organizing international conferences and co-teaching and joint research activities. Therefore, the signing of the MOU between the two institutions symbolizes a strong partnership which we firmly believe will lead to great academic value for both sides and open wide opportunities for UEH's students and Nanhua University’s students.”
After discussion and agreement, UEH and Nanhua University have signed a memorandum of understanding with the desire to enhance educational opportunities for students and to promote mutually beneficial academic collaboration, specifically:
· Designing possible exchange programs for faculty, staff, and students;
· Establishing dual degree and/or joint degree programs;
· Organizing international conferences and co-teaching and joint research activities;
· Other educational and cultural exchange activities.
Nanhua University, Taiwan (NHU) – is one of the top private universities in Chiayi City, Taiwan, that was founded in 1996. Therefore, the cooperation between UEH and Namhua University will bring advanced training quality with open study abroad opportunities and study exchanges for UEH learners; at the same time as the opening platform for further cooperation on training and research in the future.
