The signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between UEH - Vinh Long Campus and Vinpearl Joint Stock Company Kien Giang Branch

Continuing to expand business connection activities, on the morning of March 10, 2023, UEH - Vinh Long Campus (VLC) held a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement with Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, Kien Giang Branch, period 2023 - 2028.

With the mission of training high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta region and with the training motto "Studying in Vinh Long - UEH qualifications quality - Ready for international integration". In 2023, Vinh Long Campus will conduct training in disciplines and specialties associated with human resource needs in the Mekong Delta region and industries that contribute to the country's human resources. Along with improving training programs, UEH is always interested in strengthening comprehensive, long-term cooperative relationships with agencies and businesses. Since its establishment at the end of 2019 until now, Vinh Long Campus has signed training cooperation agreements with 26 agencies and enterprises inside and outside Vinh Long province to develop plans for coordination, education, forging practice skills for students, creating conditions for students to practice, accessing practical knowledge through exchange activities and business experiences.

Continuing business connection activities, on the morning of March 10, 2023, Vinh Long Campus held a signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement with Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, Kien Giang Branch, in the period of 2023 - 2028.

Attending the Signing Ceremony on UEH's side, there was the presence of Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President of UEH and Director of VLC; Dr. Nguyen Duc Tri - Dean of School of Tourism; MSc. Doan Duc Minh - Vice Dean of School of Tourism; Dr. Hoang Cuu Long - Vice Dean of School of International Business - Marketing; MSc. Nguyen Thi Thy Lieu - Permanent Deputy Director of Vinh Long Campus, along with the lecturers and students in the Board of Directors, leaders of departments, schools, centers and lecturers and students of all courses.

On the side of Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, there was the attendance of Ms. Luu Linh - Director of Administration - Human Resources; Mr. Nguyen Huu Bang - Human Resources Manager.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President of UEH and Director of Vinh Long Campus shared: “Today's signing ceremony between UEH and Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, Kien Giang Branch is one of the steps to realize 5 areas of focus of the program "Connecting the community, spreading knowledge", opens up extensive cooperation on many areas of content. UEH hopes that today's cooperation agreement will facilitate students with learning opportunities and practical experiences, advanced technology platforms, case studies, as well as creating an experienced environment for students to practice and learn directly at the enterprise”.

Business representative Ms. Luu Linh - Administration - Human Resources Director - Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, shared: “Today, the company and UEH Vinh Long Campus signed a cooperation agreement, which is the premise for our long and strong relationship. The company will always create the best conditions for students to have the opportunity to have the practical experience and participate in internships at the company. I hope Vinpearl Company and the school will have many opportunities to exchange and realize extensive cooperation. Students participating in internships at Vinpearl will perform their duties as real employees at Vinpearl. In the future, they will be able to choose to become full-time employees or be a good condition for students to be easily recruited as candidates at other agencies and units”.

According to the signed minutes, UEH Vinh Long Campus and Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, Kien Giang Branch will jointly cooperate on the following contents:

Cooperation in training, fostering, and developing human resources: The two sides coordinate and organize short-term and long-term training and fostering programs in the country or association with foreign countries in order to improve the quality of human resources according to needs, strengths and in accordance with the functions and tasks of each party.

Connecting training with practice: Through the Internship/Business Semester program, skill training program, and support for connecting internships and jobs for students;

Real connection of scientific research and consultancy: Experts, lecturers, and students jointly participate in the implementation of topics and actual projects implemented by the two sides; Jointly organize seminars and workshops to solve important and urgent economic issues or topics of interest to the community;

Cooperation in organizing conferences, seminars, economic volumes, scientific seminars and providing and exchanging information: Organizing conferences, seminars, joint scientific talks to summarize experiences as well as sissemination of scientific research results.

Also, at the Signing Ceremony, Ms. Luu Linh had a meeting to share and introduce the preferential program of Vinpearl Joint Stock Company for students at Vinh Long Campus. Accordingly, in 2023, Vinpearl will create conditions for students studying at Vinh Long Campus to participate in internships/practices at 02 locations: Vinpearl Resort & Spa Phu Quoc and Vinpearl Discovery Wonderworld Phu Quoc. The number of interns is 780, in the lobby, Culinary, Room, Kitchen, and Technician positions. In addition, students participating in the internship enjoy the following incentives: Earning income during the internship period (from 1 million VND to 2 million VND/month); Support for accommodation, transportation costs, etc., and other supports during the internship period.

Ms. Luu Linh also emphasized that, in order for the internship process to be most effective, the company will work closely with Vinh Long Campus to manage students. At the same time, Vinpearl will create the most favorable conditions for students to supplement their knowledge and equip them with practical experience to be ready to integrate into the working environment after graduation. In addition, in the upcoming time, the Company will coordinate with Vinh Long Campus to organize many extra-curricular activities for students to encounter reality, exchange experiences through visits, and learn about the business environment. From there, students will understand the recruitment requirements and the right orientation for their future and career advancement.
