The Signing Ceremony Of Cooperation Between College of Business UEH (COB) And University Of Sydney Business School, Australia

On October 18, 2022, College of Business UEH (COB) officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (MOU) with the University of Sydney Business School- one of the leading universities in Australia and the world. 

 

On behalf of COB, there were: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Thanh Trang - Vice Rector of College of Business COB; Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Vice Head of the Department of Research Management and International Cooperation; Dr. Nguyen Tan Trung – Head of Administration office; Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Thu - Vice Dean of School of International Business - Marketing; Dr. Hoang Cuu Long - Vice Dean of School of International Business - Marketing.

 

On behalf of the University of Sydney Business School, there were: Prof. Suresh Cuganesan - Deputy Dean Students & External Partnerships; GS. John Shields - Academic Director International; Mr. Alex Vu – Country manager in Vietnam.

 

 

Overview of the signing ceremony

 

To open the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Thanh Trang stated: “UEH's goal is to become a leading multi-disciplinary and sustainable university with a reputation in training, research, and scientific consulting in economics, finance, business, management, and technology for business and economics in Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and Asia. Therefore, enhancing international partnerships with our distinguished partners has been a key focus over the past few years. The signing of this MOU between two institutions today symbolizes a strong partnership which we firmly believe will lead to great academic value for both sides and open wide opportunities for UEH's students.”

After discussion and agreement, representatives of College of Business UEH (COB) and the University of Sydney Business School officially signed a cooperation agreement (MOU) with the desire to enhance educational opportunities for students and to promote mutually beneficial academic collaboration, agree to the establishment of a Credit Recognition Program on the terms set out below:

  • “2 + 2” pathway: 2 years of coursework study in UEH Degree, followed by 2 years of study in the Sydney Degree (Pathway 1); and
  • “2.5 + 1.5” pathway: 2 years of coursework study and 0.5 years internship in the UEH Degree, followed by 1.5 years of study in a Sydney Degree (Pathway 2).

Therefore, the cooperation between College of Business UEH (COB) and the University of Sydney Business School will promote international cooperation in education, in order to fulfill the mission of providing a richer learning experience with open study abroad opportunities, study exchange at the world’s leading school for UEH learners. And it will be the opening platform for more extensive cooperation in training and research in the future and marks the next significant milestone of UEH’s journey to become an excellent university with a network of partners consisting of leading universities in the world.
