The UEH University Council holding the 9th session for the 2020-2025 term: High unanimity on many important contents
On the afternoon of November 3, 2022, at Room A.205, Campus A (59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) held the UEH University Council Meeting for the term 2020 - 2025, the ninth session, with the participation of 23/25 members of the University Council, voting and approving many important contents in the meeting for the UEH development strategy in the upcoming time.

Speaking at the opening session, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the UEH University Council - emphasized: "This is a meeting with many important and meaningful contents for the UEH's long-term development strategy in the period of 2021 - 2025 and vision to 2030; Especially among them is implementing the process of appointing the position of Vice President of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City for the term 2020 - 2025. Therefore, we hope that today's meeting will receive many comments from the members, helping UEH develop in accordance with the set strategy."

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of the University Council; Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh – UEH President; Dr. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Vice President cum Director of Vinh Long Campus; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Viet Tien - Secretary of the University Council, Director of the UEH Graduate School presented, in turn, the report on the activities of the University Council between the eighth and ninth sessions, the process of appointing the position of Vice President of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh for the term 2020 - 2025; The scheme of establishing the Institute for Research and Consulting for Regional Development; together with the report on the results of the financial year 2022 and the plan for 2023. In addition, a number of other essential contents were discussed, agreed and approved at the meeting such as the organizational structure of the UEH apparatus when transferring to a university and opening new majors for university-level training.

With the spirit of serious and effective work, the 9th meeting of the Council of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has received valuable comments, with a high consensus of members on many important contents for the development strategy of the University in the upcoming time. The 9th session of the UEH University Council for the term 2020 - 2025 took place successfully, completing all the contents in the proposed work program; properly promoting the role of the University Council in deciding strategic issues of UEH according to the new provisions of the Amendment and Supplementary Law on Higher Education.
