The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City Council for the 2025–2030 term consists of 27 members, with Professor, Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao serving as the Chairman of the Council.
On August 15, 2025, the Minister of Education and Training signed Decision No. 2318/QD-BGDĐT, recognizing the 27 members of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) Council for the 2025–2030 term.

The Minister also signed Decision No. 2319/QD-BGDĐT, recognizing Professor, Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, as the Chairman of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City Council for the 2025–2030 term.

Professor, Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao was born in 1979 in Hanoi. He earned his PhD in Economics, specializing in Finance and Banking, in 2009 and was appointed as an Associate Professor in 2015. In 2023, he was recognized and appointed as a Professor. To date, Professor Bao has over 20 years of experience in teaching, scientific research, and higher education management.
Prior to being elected Chairman of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City Council for the 2025–2030 term, Professor Bao held various positions, including: Dean of the School of Finance (2016); Head of the Department of Training (2020); Vice Rector of the College of Technology & Design at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (2021); and Vice President of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (2022).
In June 2025, at the Party Congress of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City for the 2025–2030 term, Professor Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao was elected Secretary of the Party Committee.
With nearly 50 years of establishment and development, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has affirmed its position as a key national public university, evolving into a Multidisciplinary and multi-field University with an annual enrollment of over 30,000 learners across all levels and systems.
