U-Multirank is an independent organization that ranks universities worldwide, with funding from the Erasmus + program of the European Commission. U-Multirank provides multi-dimensional assessments of Universities and Colleges around the world in order to orient learners.
Every year, U-Multirank publishes a list of 25 universities with the best evaluation indexes in the following categories: (i) Research (Number of research publications (absolute number), Number of leading extracted publications, Number of interdisciplinary publications); (ii) Transfer of knowledge (Number of publications shared with partners, Number of patents granted, Contribution to lifelong career development); (iii) International orientation (Movement of students in international affiliate programs, Number of publications and research with international authors; (iv) Regional research links (Number of publications research with local authors within ‘the radius of 50 km'); (v) Teaching and learning (Student-faculty ratio 'excluding research staff').
According to the U-Multirank’s rankings in 2020, UEH is honored to be the only University of Vietnam selected to the top 25 world’s best universities in the category: “25 universities that contribute to career development lifelong career ”in the field of Knowledge Transfer.
This category relates to the field of external knowledge transfer, which assesses the flexibility of a university in providing long-term career development to external individuals and organizations.

The list includes many schools with diverse competencies, including 20 from Europe, 1 from Africa, 1 from Latin America and 3 from Asia. In particular, UEH is one of the three honoured Asian universities, along with two other prestigious universities: Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) (Thailand) and Al-Nisour University College (Iraq).
Prior to that, City Economics University. Ho Chi Minh City has been ranked in the top 100 of Master's programs in the world as announced by the international NGO organization established in France - Eduniversal in 2018, ranked 19 out of 120 universities and colleges. in Vietnam according to the rankings of Webometrics - an initiative of the Cybermetrics Research Department, of Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), Spain's largest public research center
