On the morning of March 31st, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and Dong Thap People’s Committee formally signed a cooperation agreement for the 2022 – 2027 period. This occasion marked a cooperation relationship milestone that brings practical results, contributing to the socio-economic development of Dong Thap province and advancing the academic reputation and sustainable action of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in the upcoming time. The signing ceremony recorded the presence of Mr. Pham Thien Nghia - Chairman of Dong Thap People’s Committee and provincial cadres. Representing UEH, there were the appearances of Prof. Nguyen Dong Phong - Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of UEH Council; Prof. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH; Assoc. Prof. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairwoman of the Strategy and Policy Advisory Council and Heads of UEH Units and Departments. After signing the first cooperation agreement in October 2017, UEH and Dong Thap People’s Committee had some exchanges, conducted a great number of cooperation contents, and achieved some specific results in training undergraduates and graduates as well as coordinated scientific research at the order of Dong Thap province. This is a crucial practical basis for the two sides to adjust, supplement cooperation contents, and officially sign a cooperation agreement for the 2022 - 2027 period on the morning of March 31st, 2022. Mr. Pham Thien Nghia - Chairman of Dong Thap People’s Committee - required relevant Provincial Departments to actively coordinate with University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City to promote the implementation of the two-side agreed tasks, especially those that have a direct impact and relation to the socio-economic development of Dong Thap province listed as transforming the rural economy, building model of circular economy, green economy, associating digital economy with local production reality.
