UEH and Tay Ninh Province Sign Cooperation Agreement for 2026–2030: Strengthening Strategies for Human Resource Training, Research, and Science and Technology Transfer

On April 16, 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee officially signed a Cooperation Agreement for the 2026–2030 period, aiming to strengthen the connection between the University and the locality, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources in service of socio-economic development goals in the context of digital transformation.

Attending the signing ceremony on behalf of UEH were: Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President; M.A. Truong Minh Kiet - Deputy Chief of Office of the University Office; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thy Lieu - Director of UEH Mekong; M.A. Nguyen Thanh Su - Deputy Director of the Institute for Regional Development Research and Consulting; and M.A. Nguyen Van Rot - Deputy Director of the Mekong International Training Center.

Representing the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee were: Comrade Le Van Han - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, together with representatives of the provincial departments, divisions, and sectors.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President of UEH - affirmed the University’s commitment to working with the departments and sectors of Tay Ninh Province to concretely implement training programs for human resources, scientific research, and technology transfer aligned with the practical needs of the locality.

Comrade Le Van Han - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee - stated: “I firmly believe that with UEH’s long-standing tradition and experience, together with Tay Ninh’s aspiration for growth, this relationship will not stop at signed documents, but will blossom into good and effective models, and meaningful projects right on Tay Ninh soil.

In the current context, Tay Ninh identifies the development of high-quality human resources as one of the three key strategic breakthroughs driving innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable development in the province. To realize this goal, the cooperation agreement between UEH and Tay Ninh Province aims to build a close linkage, sharing potential and resources to jointly implement training, scientific research, technology transfer, and policy consulting activities effectively, serving the shared development of both sides.

Specifically, in the field of human resource training, the two sides will coordinate to organize postgraduate training programs for provincial officials, civil servants, and public employees. At the same time, short-term training courses will be implemented to update knowledge according to job positions, enhance professional competencies and expertise, and strengthen leadership and economic management skills in the context of international integration.

In addition, both sides will promote cooperation in research, technology transfer, and digital transformation, focusing on applied research in support of smart city development. UEH will provide consulting support for the development of suitable science and technology tasks for implementation at the local level. Furthermore, the two sides will also coordinate the organization of professional events and scientific seminars according to the needs and proposals of Tay Ninh Province.

The cooperation agreement between UEH and the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee once again affirms UEH’s strategic vision of connecting knowledge - research - innovation with local development, thereby making a positive contribution to the overall socio-economic development of the country./.
