The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Dinh Cong Khai, Vice President of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), together with leaders of UEH's affiliated units. Representing the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee were Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives from the province's departments, agencies, and sectors.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai, Vice President of UEH, emphasized: "With the vision of becoming a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University, UEH consistently prioritizes integrating education, research, policy consulting, and knowledge transfer with the practical needs of localities. Building upon the foundation of cooperation established over the past years, UEH is committed to working alongside Dong Thap in effectively implementing collaborative programs, contributing to the province's goal of achieving rapid and sustainable growth."

Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, shared the province's strengths, development potential, and strategic directions for the new phase of development. He also expressed his expectation that, with its strengths in education, research, policy consulting, and innovation, UEH will become a key partner in supporting Dong Thap in developing high-quality human resources, advancing science and technology, and realizing the province's development objectives for the 2026-2030 period.

Under the agreement, UEH and the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee will collaborate on key areas of cooperation during the 2026-2030 period, including:
In policy consulting and policy review, UEH will work with the province to conduct research and provide strategic advice on socio-economic development strategies, programs, projects, and plans; participate in reviewing development orientations, planning adjustments, and proposing solutions to address development bottlenecks in support of the province's growth objectives.
In education, training, and human resource development, both parties will jointly organize training, professional development, and capacity-building programs for leaders, managers, public officials, civil servants, employees, businesses, and the startup community across the province. These programs will focus on areas aligned with Dong Thap's practical development needs, including public management, public policy, agribusiness, high-tech agriculture, the green economy, the circular economy, digital transformation, tourism, e-commerce, finance, accounting, and business administration.
In science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, UEH will collaborate with Dong Thap to implement applied research, research projects, and development initiatives that support the province's socio-economic development. Priority areas include tourism, key industries, logistics, high-tech agriculture, agricultural processing and preservation industries, the development of key agricultural value chains, the promotion of the innovation startup ecosystem, digital government, and smart cities.
In addition, the two parties will cooperate in investment promotion, trade promotion, and international cooperation by providing consultation on investment promotion programs, developing place marketing strategies, strengthening the branding of key products, connecting experts, investors, and domestic and international partners, while supporting Dong Thap in accessing international resources, organizing international conferences, and enhancing the global engagement capacity of the province's public officials and civil servants.

The signing of the Cooperation Agreement between UEH and the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee further affirms UEH's strategic commitment to partnering with local governments through education, research, policy consulting, innovation, and knowledge transfer. Building on this partnership, UEH will continue leveraging its strengths as a multidisciplinary university by connecting academic resources with practical development needs, contributing to the enhancement of human resource quality and the sustainable socio-economic development of Dong Thap Province, the Mekong Delta, and Vietnam as a whole.
