UEH and VACPA Sign Cooperation Agreement and Launch the Applied Graduate Program “Accounting Integrated with the National Professional Certification”

Attending the program, representatives from UEH included Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung - President of UEH; Dr. Tran Anh Hoa - Vice Rector of the UEH College of Business; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thi Thu Hong - Head of the Department of Academic Affairs, UEH; Dr. Nguyen Tan Trung - Chief of COB Office; Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Bao An - Dean of the School of Accounting, UEH College of Business; Dr. Phan Thi Bao Quyen - Vice Dean of the School of Accounting, UEH College of Business; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Huy - Director of the Master’s Program in Accounting, along with faculty members, lecturers, students, and representatives from professional organizations. Representing VACPA was Dr. Tran Khanh Lam - Vice Chairman and Secretary General of VACPA, together with members of the VACPA Executive Committee and representatives from organizations and businesses in the accounting and auditing sector.

Connecting education with national professional competency standards

In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung - President of UEH emphasized the importance of strengthening connections between higher education and the professional community in developing human resources for the accounting and auditing sector.

Accordingly, the Vietnam CPA is not merely a professional certification but is also associated with requirements regarding professional knowledge, competencies, ethics, and responsibilities. Integrating these competency standards into postgraduate education provides learners with an opportunity to develop both a strong academic foundation and practical professional competencies.

The President of UEH also noted that the cooperation between UEH and VACPA goes beyond the launch of a new academic program, aiming to establish a model of collaboration between a university and a national professional organization. Through this model, the two sides will connect education with professional competency standards, involve industry experts in the training process, and keep curricula updated with developments in the profession, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for society.

UEH and VACPA officially sign the Memorandum of Agreement

A key highlight of the program was the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between UEH and VACPA, witnessed by representatives from both sides. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung - President of UEH and Dr. Tran Khanh Lam - Vice Chairman and Secretary General of VACPA officially signed the agreement, marking a new step forward in the cooperation between the two organizations.

The cooperation agreement provides a foundation for UEH and VACPA to leverage their respective strengths in education and professional competency development, while strengthening the connection between the academic environment and professional practice in accounting and auditing.

Launch of the Applied Graduate Program “Accounting Integrated with the National Professional Certification”

Following the signing ceremony, UEH and VACPA officially launched the Applied Graduate Program “Accounting Integrated with the National Professional Certification.” The launch ceremony was attended by leaders of UEH and VACPA, along with representatives from relevant professional units of both sides.

The program is designed to connect advanced postgraduate knowledge with practical professional competencies, providing learners with opportunities to strengthen their expertise and better understand the requirements of the accounting and auditing profession.
