UEH and VACPA Sign MOU Renewal, Officially Launch Vietnamese Translation of "International Education Standards for Accounting (IES)"

Representing the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA) were: Ms. Vu Thi Mai – Former Deputy Minister of Finance, Chairwoman of VACPA; Mr. Tran Van Ta – Honorary Chairman of VACPA; Mr. Tran Khanh Lam – Vice Chairman and Secretary General of VACPA; Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Ngoc – Vice Chairwoman of VACPA; Ms. Ha Thi Ngoc Ha – Vice Chairwoman of VACPA; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung – Vice Chairman of VACPA; Ms. Thai Thi Van Anh – VACPA Executive Committee Member; Mr. Ngo Trung Dung – VACPA Executive Committee Member; Mr. Pham Tien Hung – VACPA Executive Committee Member; Mr. Tran Anh Quan – VACPA Executive Committee Member; Mr. Nguyen Anh Sang – VACPA Executive Committee Member; Mr. Nguyen Chi Trung – VACPA Executive Committee Member; Ms. Nguyen Thi Cuc – Chairwoman of the Vietnam Tax Consultants' Association.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Interim President shared: "Over the years, UEH's development has always been closely associated with the accompaniment of strategic partners, especially prestigious professional organizations. Among them, VACPA plays a crucial role in connecting education with accounting and auditing professional practice, particularly in developing high-quality human resources. Building upon this collaborative foundation, UEH expects that students will have more opportunities to comprehensively develop their professional knowledge, vocational skills, and professional ethics, ready to integrate and meet labor market requirements. At the same time, this cooperation will create sustainable and practical values for both parties and the professional community."

Speaking at the ceremony, the VACPA representative emphasized the importance of close cooperation with higher education institutions, in which UEH is an important strategic partner working together in training, professional development, and nurturing future generations of accountants and auditors with solid professional competence, professional ethics, and the ability to adapt to the increasingly demanding requirements of the new economic landscape.

To build and develop a sustainable collaborative relationship between University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA), both parties discussed and agreed to sign the MOU renewal with the following key contents:

+ Connecting education closely with professional practice;

+ Collaborating in organizing training programs, professional seminars and workshops, and providing knowledge updates for lecturers, students, and members;

+ Promoting research, consulting activities, and developing high-quality human resources for the accounting and auditing sector in Vietnam;

+ Supporting academic and community activities together.

Additionally, within the framework of the signing ceremony, the Vietnamese translation of "International Education Standards for Accounting (IES)" was officially launched, marking an important advancement in updating and standardizing accounting and auditing knowledge according to international practices. This publication helps lecturers, students, and practitioners in Vietnam access the international standards system comprehensively and consistently, thereby laying the foundation for improving training quality and developing accounting and auditing human resources in the context of integration.
