UEH announces leadership appointments to strengthen institutional operations and governance capacity

On June 30, 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) held a ceremony to announce and present decisions on appointments to leadership and management positions for the 2025-2030 term. The appointments further strengthen the University's management team, enhance operational capacity, and continue advancing academic development and education in line with UEH's vision of becoming a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University. 

Overview of the appointment ceremony at Hall A.103, Campus A, UEH

The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of UEH; Prof. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of UEH; Dr. Dinh Cong Khai, Vice President of UEH; Prof. Nguyen Dong Phong, Chairman of the UEH Strategic Development Council; Prof. Su Dinh Thanh, Chairman of the UEH Science and Education Council; Assoc. Prof. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet, Chairwoman of the UEH Alumni Executive Board; Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and President of the UEH Trade Union; together with the leadership of UEH's member colleges, departments, and academic units.

At the ceremony, UEH presented appointment decisions for leadership and management positions for the 2025-2030 term as follows:

  • - Mr. Truong Minh Kiet, M.A., was appointed Head of the University Office.
  • - Mr. Cao Van Tien, M.A., was appointed Deputy Head of the Office for the Communist Party and Organizations. 
  • - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Su, M.A., was appointed Vice Director of Ho Chi Minh City Economics Publisher.
  • - Dr. Nguyen Kim Duc was appointed Dean of the School of Economics, UEH College of Economics, Law and Government (UEH.CELG).
  • - Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thi Hong Nham was appointed Director of the Institute of Innovation and concurrently serves as Program Director of the application-oriented Master's Program in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship.
  • - Ms. Tran Thi Quynh Mai, M.A., was assigned to serve as Vice Director of the Institute of Smart City and Management under the UEH College of Technology and Design (UEH.CTD) until the official appointment process is completed in accordance with regulations.

The ceremony also included the presentation of appointment decisions for Program Directors and Academic Directors across UEH's schools and institutes, including:

  • - Dr. Pham Thai Binh, Vice Director of the Sustainable Finance Institute, is concurrently appointed Program Director of the undergraduate program in Sustainable Business and Environmental Management. 
  • - Dr. Dinh Sy Khang, appointed Program Director of the international dual-degree bachelor's program in Sustainable Business and Environmental Management and Sustainable Transformation Management. 
  • - Dr. Dang Tri Dung, appointed Program Director of the undergraduate program in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, concurrently serving as Program Director of the international dual-degree bachelor's program in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering. 
  • - Dr. Do Tri Cuong, appointed Program Director of the undergraduate program in Intelligent Control and Automation, concurrently serving as Program Director of the international dual-degree bachelor's program in Intelligent Control and Automation. 
  • - Dr. Pham Nguyen Hoai, appointed Program Director of the undergraduate program in Smart Operations and Mobility Management under the Institute of Smart City and Management.

  • - Dr. Doan Minh Chau was appointed Program Director of the Undergraduate Honors Program in Business Administration, concurrently serving as Program Director of the Master's Program in Business Administration. 
  • - Dr. Pham Thi Hoa was appointed Program Director of the Doctoral Program in Business Administration.
  • - Assoc. Prof. Doan Anh Tuan was appointed Program Director of the Undergraduate Honors Program in Applied Finance, concurrently serving as Program Director of the Undergraduate Honors Program in Accounting. 
  • - Dr. Thai Dam Huy Trung was appointed Program Director of the Undergraduate Honors Program in Marketing and concurrently serves as Program Director of the Master's Program in Data-Driven Marketing. 
  • - Dr. Thai Dam Huy Trung was appointed Program Director of the Undergraduate Honors Program in Marketing and concurrently serves as Program Director of the Master's Program in Data-Driven Marketing. 
  • - Dr. Pham Thi Bich Ngoc was appointed Program Director of the Undergraduate Honors Program in International Business.
  • - Dr. Le Anh Tuan was appointed Program Director of the Master's Program in Wealth Management. 
  • - Dr. Nguyen Son Tung was appointed Program Director of the undergraduate program in Artificial Intelligence in Business.
  • - Dr. Nguyen Hong Ngoc was appointed Program Director of the undergraduate Marketing (ASEAN Co-op) program and concurrently serves as Program Director of the undergraduate Applied Finance (ASEAN Co-op) program.
  • - Assoc. Prof. Vo Thi Ngoc Thuy was appointed Director of Academic Affairs and International Relations at the UEH Honours College.
  • - Ms. Du Phuc My Kim, M.A., was appointed Project Director of the Leadership Program at the UEH Honours College.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of UEH, congratulated the faculty and staff members entrusted with new responsibilities and emphasized that these appointments represent an important step toward strengthening UEH's governance effectiveness. He expressed confidence that the newly appointed leaders and managers would continue to foster collaboration across units, enhance the quality of education and institutional operations, and contribute to achieving UEH's strategic development goals over the next five years.

Through continuous talent development and the strengthening of its governance system, UEH reaffirms its commitment to building a modern university governance model that fully leverages the expertise of its faculty and staff, thereby contributing to the realization of its strategy as a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University in the new development phase.
