Within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Bridging Digital Divide In Mongolia And Vietnam Through HEI’s Digital Transformation” (DIGITAL MOVE), the delegation from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Interim Vice President of UEH-, participated in the consortium meeting and attended the Ulysseus R&I Conference organized by the Ulysseus European University Alliance at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE), Slovakia, from October 20–24, 2025.
The DIGITAL MOVE consortium meeting in Slovakia aimed to review the progress of work packages (WPs), assess achieved results, discuss upcoming activities, and finalize the roadmap for project completion in early 2026. The meeting gathered representatives from all 12 partner universities from Vietnam, Mongolia, France, and Slovakia. During the session, delegates reviewed the implementation of six key work packages:
+ WP1. Project Management and Quality Assurance
+ WP2. Establishing a Digital Culture and Infrastructure at HEIs
+ WP3. Enhancing the Mission of HEIs through Digital Transformation
+ WP4. Enhancing Digital Soft Skills for Faculty, Students, and Lifelong Learners
+ WP5. Networking and Connectivity
+ WP6. Dissemination and Exploitation of Results

During the working sessions, partners engaged in in-depth discussions on project governance, coordination, and internal reporting procedures to ensure consistency in implementation, monitoring, and final quality evaluation. The consortium also agreed on a plan to complete the final project outputs, including the delivery timeline and compliance criteria required by the Erasmus+ program.
UEH, along with Vietnamese and Mongolian universities, shared practical experiences, challenges, and impacts of the project on the implementation of digital transformation strategies in university governance, hybrid teaching, LMS upgrading, and digital skills development for lecturers and students.

In addition to the consortium meeting, the UEH delegation attended the Ulysseus R&I Conference, an annual academic event organized by the Ulysseus European University Alliance, which brings together researchers, academics, experts, and business representatives from various countries. The conference focused on emerging trends in research and innovation within the context of digital transformation, sustainability, and international collaboration among European and global universities. The thematic sessions covered topics such as digital transformation in research and teaching, sustainable digitalization, European innovation networks, and the evolving role of universities in the global innovation ecosystem.
UEH’s participation in the event provided valuable opportunities to connect with Ulysseus members such as TUKE (Slovakia), University of Seville (Spain), Université Côte d’Azur (France), University of Genoa (Italy), and University of Münster (Germany), while exploring potential collaborations in research, training, and knowledge transfer aligned with UEH’s internationalization and sustainable development strategies.
The business trip to Slovakia has marked an important milestone in the final stage of the DIGITAL MOVE project and expanded UEH’s international collaboration network within the European research and innovation ecosystem. Participating in both the DIGITAL MOVE project meeting and the Ulysseus R&I Conference demonstrated UEH’s strong commitment to integration, knowledge sharing, and international engagement - contributing to the goal of “Bridging the Digital Divide in Higher Education” and realizing the vision of “UEH - Smart, Green, and Sustainable University.”
