On October 31, 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) attended the Vietnam - Poland Higher Education Forum 2025, co-organized by the Embassy of Poland in Hanoi and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) in Ho Chi Minh City. The event was attended by nearly 100 delegates from universities and educational organizations of both countries, as part of a series of activities commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Poland.
The forum provided an opportunity for educational institutions from both countries to discuss the opportunities and challenges in higher education development amidst globalization, while promoting bilateral cooperation in training, research, and knowledge transfer—a key component of the Politburo's Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development.
The event was attended by Ms. Joanna Skoczek - Ambassador of Poland to Vietnam; Mr. Wojciech Karczewski - Director of NAWA; Ms. Phung Thi Hong Van - Deputy Head of the International Education Division, International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Education and Training; along with leaders and experts from 38 Polish and Vietnamese universities.

At the Forum, representing UEH, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao – Deputy Head of the Department of Research - Development and Global Engagement – introduced the multidisciplinary and sustainable development model of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, along with its vision of becoming a global university for sustainable development. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao emphasized: “UEH is ready to collaborate with reputable academic partners worldwide, and with Polish universities and educational organizations in particular. We aim to cooperate to develop, enhance training quality, and provide learners with advanced, multinational learning experiences geared towards sustainable socio-economic development.”

Speaking at the event, Mr. Wojciech Karczewski - Director of NAWA, expressed his desire to promote higher education cooperation between Poland and Vietnam. He encouraged participating universities to explore NAWA's various funding programs, scholarships, and activities to strengthen collaborative and research projects in diverse fields, especially in key sectors serving the socio-economic development goals of both countries. NAWA—a national agency established in 2017—plays a crucial role in coordinating the internationalization of the Polish higher education system, promoting knowledge transfer, and enhancing global academic cooperation.

Promoting educational linkages and cooperation between Vietnam and Poland is a practical activity that supports the internationalization of science and higher education, facilitates the transfer of international knowledge and skills for scientific and training activities, and provides learners with a dynamic, creative, and globally connected university environment.
