In keeping with UEH’s 45-year long-standing history and achievements in training and research in business, UEH College of Business was created and carries in itself a noble mission of training high-quality personnel, promoting international relations, research, consultation and knowledge transfer in the field of Business, Finance – Banking – Insurance, Accounting – Auditing, Tourism, Hospitality, Sports and Personal Services to the local community and around the world.

It is an undeniable truth that globalization and the Industrial Revolution 4.0 are having significant impacts on all aspects of social life. Training, research and consulting activities in the Trading Goods and Services sectors are not to be discounted when addressing the rapid changes in socio-economic conditions, technology, and business behavior. To catch up with market demand for highly qualified personnel capable of multi-dimensional critical thinking, it is imperative that a multidisciplinary program, namely in commerce, banking, finance, tourism, accounting, etc., is implemented to carry out effective search and business consulting. 

In the next five years, from 2021 to 2025, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City will conduct a university-wide restructuring to become a multi-disciplinary university in Economics, Business, Management, Law, Design and Technology, as an effective and immediate response to current and future market needs, along with internationalization trends and context.

In keeping with UEH’s 45-year long-standing history and achievements in training and research in business, UEH College of Business was created and carries the noble mission of training high-quality personnel, promoting international relations, research, consultation and knowledge transfer in the field of Business, Finance – Banking – Insurance, Accounting – Auditing, Tourism, Hospitality, Sports and Personal Services to the local community and around the world.

 

UEH College of Business exemplifies the model of joint operations between Schools with training programs that are more business-centric, which include 13 undergraduate (Bachelor’s), 4 graduate (Master’s) and 4 post-graduate (PhD) programs. The arrangement of these programs within one college will facilitate the ideal conditions to develop a multidisciplinary training program with scale up to 20,000 undergrad/grad/post-grad students annually. More specifically, UEH College of Business is focused on establishing undergraduate and graduate/post-graduate programs in accordance with international standards as agreed upon by UEH and our respective partner universities, which dictate that all training programs are to be open and highly interconnected.

The organizational structure of the College includes the Science & Training Council, the School of International Business – Marketing, the School of Management, the School of Finance, the School of Banking, the school of Accounting, Institute of Tourism, other research facilities and short-term training centers, as well as a General Administration Department. On top of that, the College will be home to nearly 250 teachers, including 4 Professors, 28 Associate Professors, 84 PhDs and 115 Master’s.

Restructuring University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and forming a multidisciplinary & sustainable UEH University for the next five years is an extremely important strategy for our university. Not only does it uphold the university’s glorious successes in the past 45 years, but it is also a step forward in the right direction towards a sustainable future for UEH.

In the meantime, in 2021, UEH will formally and gradually establish and announce our 3 member schools, which include UEH College of Business, UEH College of Economics, Law and Management; UEH College of Technology and Design, all of which are indispensable as we look ahead to a multidisciplinary and sustainable future.
