The year 2025 marked the 5th anniversary of the establishment and development of UEH College of Business (COB), documenting a journey of inheriting foundational values, continuously improving academic quality, expanding international integration, and increasing community-oriented activities to create positive social impact. In alignment with the sustainable development strategy of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), COB has consistently implemented activities across 5 strategic pillars: Training - Research - Governance - Operations - Community Connection, working toward building a modern educational ecosystem closely linked with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

Top 10 Achievements and Highlights of 2025

  1. Implemented 39 dual-degree, dual-major, and integrated programs
  2. Developed 88 training programs across academic levels (22 partial-English programs, 12 full-English programs, 3 Executive Master's programs, and 6 Doctoral programs)
  3. Most undergraduate programs across 6 Schools achieved European accreditation standards (FIBAA); 8 programs recognized by prestigious professional associations
  4. Short-term training experienced strong growth with 275 courses and 5,962 certificates; UEH CEO Program officially launched in 2025
  5. ISI/Scopus/ABDC scientific publications increased from 119 to 249 articles
  6. Hundreds of student scientific research projects won awards at unit and UEH levels, with many achieving national and regional recognition
  7. Successfully maintained the international scientific conference iCOB 2025, attracting over 200 papers and scholars from numerous countries
  8. Associate Professor ranks increased from 33 to 41, strengthening academic foundation and professional capacity
  9. Newly signed Research Fellows increased from 9 to 16, enhancing internationalization and practical application in teaching and research
  10. The first graduating cohort of the UEH - University of Rennes (France) joint program completed, marking a milestone in training internationalization

Training - Affirming Quality, Promoting International Integration

COB continues to position training at the center while accelerating program internationalization and standardizing quality according to international practices. Alongside formal education, short-term training and professional development programs for enterprises have been developed with flexibility, meeting lifelong learning needs and enhancing management capacity for the community.

Research - Promoting Innovation and Disseminating Knowledge

Research activities recorded positive growth momentum, contributing to increased academic presence of COB domestically and internationally. In 2025, COB achieved 249 ISI/Scopus/ABDC publications, reflecting the maturation of research capacity among faculty members and scientists. Concurrently, student scientific research movements continue to be promoted, encouraging academic spirit and problem-solving thinking connected to practical applications.

Governance - Consolidating the Foundation for Sustainable Development

COB continues to improve governance toward transparency, efficiency, and sustainability through process standardization, enhanced quality assurance, and faculty development. Collaboration with international professional associations in training and development has helped faculty update trends, approach professional standards, and enhance teaching capacity.

Operations - Toward a Modern, Efficient University Model

In harmony with UEH's digital transformation strategy, COB has progressively standardized operations and accelerated technology application in training management, academics, and administration, moving toward a lean - efficient - flexible model. Simultaneously, COB has integrated resource-saving practices, efficient facility utilization, and environmental impact reduction, accompanying UEH's green university orientation.

Community - Increasing Collaborative Value and Social Impact

COB has expanded and deepened its multi-dimensional cooperative ecosystem with enterprises, professional associations, international organizations, and development projects. In 2025, COB recorded 275 short-term training courses, thereby consolidating its role as a companion to the business community, disseminating management knowledge, and contributing to socio-economic development. 16 newly signed Research Fellows participated in teaching/co-teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing to enhanced internationalization, practical relevance, and training quality.

Entering 2026 - a meaningful milestone celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment and development of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, UEH College of Business is committed to continuing strong innovation, leveraging internal strengths, and expanding international cooperation. Building on the achievements of 2025, COB focuses on implementing 5 key strategic directions and objectives, serving as the foundation for a new development phase:

  • Training: Enhance internationalization and improve training quality across all levels/systems linked with technology application and career market connections through benchmarking and recognition by TOP 250 Asian/TOP 500 world universities; expand dual-degree programs; increase English-medium instruction programs; integrate international professional certifications; accelerate technology and AI application in teaching - learning - assessment; pilot English-taught doctoral programs; enhance students' academic competitiveness in regional and international arenas; while effectively implementing accreditation and re-accreditation of training programs.
  • Research: Enhance the quality of scientific research activities aligned with new research directions under the 2025-2030 development strategy, creating synergy with training and enterprise consulting through updating interdisciplinary - sustainable - digital transformation - innovation - ESG research mainstreams; strengthening research capacity building for faculty; developing research projects serving training and application; enhancing student scientific research quality linked to career markets; promoting applied research serving enterprises and localities toward knowledge transfer; while increasing faculty academic presence in regional and international forums.
  • Internationalization: Internationalize academic resources and international cooperation networks through increasing participation of international scholars and faculty; expanding connections with prestigious keynote speakers at iCOB; increasing internationally recognized training programs to promote student exchanges; accelerating scholar exchanges; developing overseas alumni networks for mentoring; continuing to increase the quantity and implementation effectiveness of new international cooperation projects.
  • Community: Strengthen connections and develop networks linking with enterprises, agencies, and localities in training, scientific research serving the community, knowledge transfer, and human resource development through proactive partnership signing and implementation; effectively organizing enterprise forums; spreading CEO connection programs; promoting community lecture series; leveraging roles in the City University model; effectively operating COB Alumni Fellowship to mobilize knowledge resources and enhance academic competitiveness.
  • Governance and Operation: Enhance human resource quality and effective technology application in governance and operations through increasing the number of Professors and Associate Professors; enhancing legal capacity and ensuring operational effectiveness; accelerating experience sharing and cooperation with units for training internationalization; improving faculty's English teaching capacity; optimally leveraging technology platforms and systems in management and operations.
