Promoting achievements of training and research in the field of business during the 45-year development journey of UEH, UEH - College of Economics, Law and Government was born with the mission of training high-quality human resources, promoting international relations, researching, consulting, and transferring new knowledge in Economics and Behavior, Public Finance, Government Management, Law, Environment for policymakers, managers, academics, and business community in the region and around the world.
Economy, Law and Government Management are essential components of a social structure. Connecting these three components into a unified block allows us to study many important aspects in the socio-economic system. Furthermore, development of Industry 4.0 and globalization trend require universities to equip learners with multidisciplinary knowledge in economics, law, and government management to adapt to the multi-dimensional challenges of Economics and Law. Therefore, from 2021 through 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has transformed itself to match market needs and internationalization with the restructuring strategy to become a multidisciplinary and sustainable UEH University in economics, business, management, law, design and technology. One of the first steps is establishing 03 member colleges, including the UEH - College of Economics, Law and Government.
Inheriting and promoting the achievements of the University such as The first and only Vietnamese university of Economics, Management, Law and Business in the QS Asia 2021; Top 1 University in economics, management, business, and law in Vietnam (Webometrics, 2019, 2020, 2021); Top 1 internationally published university in economics, management, business, and law in Vietnam, etc. UEH - College of Economics, Law and Government was born with the mission of training high-quality human resources, promoting international relations, researching, consulting, and transferring new knowledge in Economics and Behavior, Public Finance, Government management, Law, Environment for policymakers, managers, academics, and business community in the region and around the world.
UEH - College of Economics, Law and Government combines Schools and Institutes with training programs relating to macro-management and social science. The college focuses on developing undergraduate and postgraduate training programs (Master and PhD) according to international standards granted by UEH and/or international partner universities with 12 undergraduate, 08 Master , and 04 PhD training majors. The training programs are developed with open-mindedness and high connectivity with other UEH members as well as international partners with the college size up to 4,736 undergraduate, master and Fellow PhD.
UEH - College of Economics, Law and Government operates a structure including Science & Training Council, School of Economics, School of Law, School of Government, School of Public Finance, Institute of Public Policy, Health and Agricultural Policy Research Institute, Sustainable Technology Institute, Economy & Environment Partnership for Southeast Asia, Institute of Development Economics Research, Institute of Human Resource Development Research, and Research Institutes, Research & Training Institutes, Short-term Training Center of the University and Department of General Administration. The teaching staffs include 113 lecturers with 1 Professor, 7 Associate Professors, 36 PhDs, a network of 80 international partners, 200 companies, businesses, associations, and more than 50,000 Alumni.

Restructuring the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City – Forming UEH University and developing multidisciplinary –from 2021 through 2025 is a critical strategy and has great significance for maintaining and promoting UEH's achievements in the past 45 years towards sustainable development in the future. Therefore, it is expected that at the end of 2021 UEH will establish 3 member colleges: College of Economics, Law and Government; College of Technology and Design, and College of Business. College of Economics, Law and Government and other members are aiming for a multidisciplinary and sustainable UEH University.
