In the recent time, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has continued to successfully accredit 06 training programs according to the FIBAA (European) international quality accreditation standards. This brings the total number of UEH's FIBAA-certified training programs to 19, which has proven UEH’s increasing quality of education, training and strong internationalization efforts.
In the 2020 – 2025 period, UEH continues to develop comprehensive quality assurance at the educational institution and training program level, to develop modern and leading training programs in line with the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary orientation, to strengthen the internationalization of training programs and activities in order to provide high-quality human resources and transfer global knowledge, to promote innovation and action for sustainable development. Accordingly, educational accreditation is promoted, especially training program accreditation, which becomes a mandatory factor. Accreditation results are not only an important basis for contributing to improving, enhancing quality and demonstrating accountability but also a condition for implementing the autonomy of educational institutions.
In 2023-2024, UEH continues to implement self-assessment of 06 training programs according to the international standards of FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) - Europe, including:
01 postgraduate training program: Master of Public Management.
05 undergraduate training programs: (1) Bachelor of Arts in Economics - Applied Economics; (2) Bachelor of Arts in Travel and Tourism Management; (3) Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management; (4) Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management - Event and Leisure Management; (5) Bachelor of Arts in English Language - Business English.
Two FIBAA expert delegations led by Ms. Yelena Istileulova - FIBAA Project Manager came to UEH to conduct the external assessment phase of 06 training programs according to the accreditation roadmap from July 11-13, 2024 and July 18-19, 2024. During the assessment process, experts from leading European universities conducted interviews, exchanged and discussed quality management of training programs with all stakeholders, icluding: Leaders of training faculties; Program directors and related teaching staff; representatives of Management Departments, Offices, Youth Union; together with students, alumni of training programs and UEH employers to clarify, to analyze and to evaluate the strengths and the weaknesses of the programs.
On December 11, 2024, UEH received the official results from FIBAA regarding the quality accreditation of all 06 training programs mentioned above. As in December 2024, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has been officially recognized by FIBAA to meet the educational quality standards of 19 training programs of European quality standards.
In addition, in the period of 2023-2024, UEH has implemented a plan to improve the training programs that have been recognized for conditional accreditation as requested by the external assessment team and submitted an improvement report with accompanying evidence. On December 12, 2024, FIBAA sent official information on the recognition of the completion of the improvement, removing the conditions of these programs and issuing a certificate of "Fulfilled Conditions" for the following programs: 1) Bachelor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management (School of International Business - Marketing); 2) Bachelor of International Business Law (School of Law); 3) Master of Applied Economics (Vietnam - the Netherlands joint program); 4) Bachelor of International Business (School of International Business - Marketing); 5) Bachelor of Business Administration (talented bachelor, ISB); and 6) Master of Business Administration (ISB).
These efforts are UEH's commitment to learners and stakeholders towards carrying out the activities that bring the best quality of education in the context of internationalization and globalization. UEH graduates are equipped with core competencies to become excellent global citizens and to create values for society. The results of quality accreditation activities are the foundation for UEH to continuously improve the activities of building, managing and operating training programs according to international standards to improve the training quality of UEH in general and the programs in particular, aiming towards becoming a Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University in the upcoming period./.
