[UEH Day 2025 – Day 1] A Journey of Inspiration for the Community, Environment, and Society by 900 UEHers in Khánh Hòa Province

Under the theme “Together We Share Responsibility”, Day 1 (July 24) of the UEH Day 2025 journey brought together nearly 900 faculty members, staff, and employees of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) in a series of meaningful community, educational, and gratitude-based activities across Khánh Hòa Province. These events attracted active participation and interest from local students, parents, and residents alike.

Beginning in the early morning of July 24, 2025, the UEH Day 2025 journey officially commenced with the activity “Together We Go.” On each bus, an atmosphere of excitement and camaraderie was ignited through interactive challenges and mini-games designed to explore knowledge about UEH - setting the tone with vibrant energy for the meaningful three-day, two-night journey ahead.

A Series of Community and Environmental Activities with UEH: “Together We Share”

Continuing the journey, four core activities took place on Day 1 of UEH Day 2025 in Khánh Hòa, engaging nearly 900 UEHers and the local community in promoting the spirit of sustainability, innovation, and shared social responsibility. These meaningful initiatives included:

+ “Together We Root for Tomorrow”: This activity involved the planting of 300 trees on the UEH Nexus Campus in Khánh Hòa Province - a hub for scholarly exchange and global knowledge convergence. The initiative aimed to build a green, sustainable academic space, symbolizing UEH’s long-term commitment to sustainable education in the local community by sowing seeds of trust, hope, and environmental stewardship.

UEH lecturers and staff planted 300 trees on the grounds of the UEH Nexus Campus in Khánh Hòa.

+ “Together We Move Green”: This group dance for the environment featured a “Zero Waste” flashmob and the distribution of reusable fabric bags at 2/4 Square in Nha Trang. The activity called on the community to take action toward a greener lifestyle - reducing plastic waste and protecting the marine environment. It served as a powerful message promoting sustainable, civilized living in harmony with nature within urban spaces.

Reusable fabric bags were gifted to local residents and tourists in Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa.

+ “Together We Empower the Next Us” at Lê Quý Đôn High School for the Gifted: This sustainable career orientation activity, titled “Meet & Greet: Empowering the Next,” was organized for students in Grades 10, 11, and 12, helping them explore academic pathways and future career options. Following this, the “Innovate with STEM 101” competition, taking place from July 28 to August 19, 2025, will offer a dynamic and practical learning platform. Guided by UEH experts in computing and applied technology, high school students in Khánh Hòa will engage in designing robotics and technological solutions to address environmental challenges - applying their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to create green, real-world innovations.

Students received guidance and explored future academic and career pathways.

+ “Together We Honour”: This commemorative activity paid tribute to the heroic soldiers of Gạc Ma, serving as a profound lesson in national history. It aimed to instill in UEH’s young staff and employees a deep sense of patriotism, national sovereignty over maritime territories, and the enduring responsibility of upholding and honoring the legacy of those who sacrificed for the country.

The UEH community gathered in a solemn ceremony to honor the heroic martyrs of Gạc Ma.

Bonding Through the Team Building Challenge: Together We Connect

Concluding the first day was the “Together We Connect” teambuilding activity on the shores of Cam Lâm. Here, UEHers immersed themselves in nature and joined their teammates in overcoming four themed challenges: Intelligent UEHers, Shining UEHers, Bridge to the Future, and UEH Strong Together. Each UEHer engaged in meaningful, collaborative games that not only strengthened teamwork and revitalized positive energy for work, but also underscored environmental awareness. The vibrant display of unity and collective spirit perfectly embodied the ethos of “One UEH.”

The first day of the UEH Day 2025 journey concluded successfully - not only fostering a strong sense of unity within the UEHer community, but also affirming UEH’s long-term commitment to the sustainable development of Khánh Hòa Province, home to the UEH Nexus Campus.

Carrying forward this passionate momentum, the journey will continue on July 25 with Day 2 under the theme “Together We Share Vision & Sustainable Future.” Each UEHer will step forward with great aspirations, united in advancing the UEH Strategic Development Plan for 2025–2030 and officially launching the series of events marking the 50th Anniversary of UEH.

The journey is far from over - and the best is yet to come. Wishing all our lecturers and staff a peaceful evening and renewed energy as we continue writing the inspiring story of UEH Day 2025.
