UEH Expands Short-term Training Programs to Enhance Skills and Disseminate Knowledge to the Community

With the aim of "Connecting Communities - Disseminating Knowledge" and fostering high-quality human resources, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) is actively organizing short-term training programs, workshops, and professional development courses for a diverse range of participants. These programs create learning opportunities and help enhance expertise across various fields.

E-commerce Knowledge Enhancement Program

UEH collaborated with the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City to organize an E-commerce Knowledge Improvement Program. The program aims to improve the capacity of public officials in state management related to e-commerce, ensuring they understand regulations and stay updated on new trends in the field. Starting November 23, 2023, the program attracted 87 participants, including officials from various departments, agencies, and economic offices of the district and Thủ Đức city administrations. Participants were equipped with essential knowledge about the e-commerce operating process, including how to set up and manage websites, as well as the procedures for monitoring, inspecting, and enforcement of e-commerce regulations in their areas.

Short-Term Training Course on Media Content Creation

In November 2023, UEH organized a short-term training course titled "Media Content Creation" from November 4 to November 26. The course attracted a large number of participants, including students, professionals, and those passionate about the media field. Led by an experienced team of instructors, including experts such as Lê Bửu Duy, Nguyễn Vũ Nhất Huy, and Phạm Lan Khanh, the course provided participants with knowledge in content strategy development, creative writing techniques, social media management, and the application of technology in content creation. Throughout the 8 sessions, participants were equipped with knowledge of content strategy development, creative writing techniques, social media management, and the application of technology in content creation. The course not only provided valuable learning opportunities but also served as a platform for networking among individuals who share the same passion and aspirations in the media field.

Training Course on Business Models and Digital Technology Applications

UEH organized a training course “Business Models and Digital Technology Applications for Small Enterprises” in Hậu Giang, held on April 6-7, 2023. The program attracted a large number of entrepreneurs and startups.

The course helped participants gain a better understanding of how to operate businesses in the digital age, enabling them to apply new technologies to optimize production processes and enhance product value. Participants received practical guidance on building business models, designing websites, and utilizing social media channels for brand development.

Summer School on Statistics and Bayesian Computation

In addition to specialized training courses for entrepreneurs and professionals, UEH organized a Summer School on Statistics and Bayesian Computation in July 2023. This program attracted interest from many domestic researchers and lecturers, as well as participants from other countries.

The summer programs lasted for 10 days and included lectures from renowned professors in the fields of statistics and machine learning. Participants not only gained foundational knowledge in Bayesian statistics but also had the opportunity to interact with and learn from leading researchers worldwide. This program created a vibrant academic environment that improved research capabilities and the application of statistics across various fields.

Training Program on STEM Teaching for Teachers and High School Students in Vĩnh Long

As part of its social responsibility as a national key university, on March 18, 2023, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) collaborated with the Vĩnh Long Department of Education and Training to organize the “STEM Teaching” training program for teachers and high school students in Vĩnh Long.

The program aimed to provide knowledge, skills, and equipment to effectively guide students in career orientation and scientific research. It also aims to improve teachers’ professional skills while selecting promising projects in robotics and artificial intelligence for development, connection, and incubation at UEH's Mekong Startup Incubator.
