UEH Faculty of Banking exchanging cooperation with the largest local Banking Association in Japan (Tsubasa-Alliance)

In the morning of April 12, 2022, UEH School of Business had a meeting and worked with the largest local Banking Association delegation in Japan (Tsubasa-Alliance). Attending the meeting were Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - Rector of UEH and representatives of UEH Department of Scientific Management - International Cooperation and Leadership Board of Banking Faculty, UEH School of Business.

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - Rector of UEH - gave a welcoming speech and oriented the cooperation relationship between UEH and Japanese Banking Association (Tsubasa-Alliance). As Representative of UEH Faculty of Banking, Dr. Phan Chung Thuy - Vice Dean of UEH Faculty of Banking - introduced an overview concerning UEH and UEH Faculty of Banking to distinguished guests. Dr. Hoang Hai Yen - Dean of Banking Faculty - also emphasized the opportunities in terms of  the mutual cooperation in training, internship and job recruitment with Japanese Banking Association.

Overview of the meeting between the leadership of UEH Faculty of Banking, UEH School of Business and the delegation of Japan Banking Association (Tsubasa-Alliance)

At the exchange, the Japanese Banking Association briefly introduced their activities and expressed their desire to cooperate with UEH Faculty of Banking in particular and UEH University in general. Specifically, the Japanese Banking Association will accept students to practice and work at Japanese banks. The Banking Association will also act as a bridge for UEH University and UEH Faculty of Banking to develop joint training activities, exchange programs for lecturers and students and international cooperation with universities in Japan. In addition, the representatives of the directors of the Representative Office of the Bank of Japan in Vietnam share further details regarding the demand towards young intellectual workers in the Japanese market and recommend that UEH should integrate Japanese language courses in training programs to help students with the best preparation upon working and studying in Japan.

From the sharing of MSc. Vo Duc Hoang Vu - Deputy Head of Science and International Cooperation Department, UEH has had cooperation exchange programs with a number of universities in Japan. However, these cooperation programs do face certain limitations; therefore, the cooperation with the Japan Bankers Association will open up new cooperation opportunities for UEH University. During the meeting, the Department Heads/Deputy Heads of UEH Faculty of Banking exchange further viewpoints and share their wishes for a close and sustainable cooperation between UEH Faculty of Banking and the Japan Banking Association in the future.

The working session ended successfully, the two sides agreed to draft and sign a Memorandum of Understanding as a premise for the next steps of cooperation.
