UEH holding the 2nd Cooperation Signing Ceremony with Agencies and Enterprises in 2022 at UEH Vinh Long Branch

On the morning of May 20, 2022, at Vinh Long Branch, University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) held the 2^nd Cooperation Signing Ceremony with Agencies and Enterprises in 2022.

Attending the Signing Ceremony, on behalf of UEH, is the presence of: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of UEH Council; Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of UEH cum Director of Vinh Long Branch; Assoc. Overview of the program

Speaking at the Opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong expressed his joy and excitement regarding UEH’s cooperation with units and businesses. Professor shared: “On behalf of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, we are very pleased that, today, we signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation with units and businesses with the aim of improving training quality, associated with practice; concurrently, looking forward to connecting to the business community in order to spread knowledge to the community and the society. Today's signing ceremony among UEH with 14 units and businesses is one of the steps to realize 5 key areas in “Community Connection - Spreading Knowledge - Sustainable Action” Program, opening extensive cooperation on diverse areas of content. UEH does hope that the cooperation agreement between UEH and other units and businesses will provide UEH students with opportunities for learning and practical experience with advanced technology platforms as well as creating an experiential university environment for UEH students to practice and learn directly at enterprises”.

Sharing in the program, UEH-affiliated partners highly appreciated UEH’s training quality, reputation and brand in the field of economic and management training; concurrently, being ready to accompany UEH in the process of organizing activities to bring students closer to the working environment in the future. All partners all share the desire to cooperate to train high-quality human resources and enhance the brand value of the parties.

Mr. Cao Hong Son - Director of Sacombank, Vinh Long Branch – emphasizes: “The cooperation between UEH and businesses gives students the opportunity to improve their professional skills and to adapt to the working environment after graduating from high school. Karma. Sacombank will accompany UEH in the priority of receiving students to Sacombank to visit, practice and practice as well as participate in the process of innovating teaching methods, developing training curricula associated with the reality at Sacombank; at the same time, Sacombank plans to coordinate with UEH in training to improve the quality of our staff.”

Dr. Le Phu Quoi - Director of Vinh Long Petroleum Company – states that: “The cooperation agreement between the two units, once again, affirms the solidarity and the cooperation of the two parties and will continue to promote strength and to create practical values for the tripartite relationship: UEH - Enterprise - Student. In the development direction of the company in the coming time, human resource development and corporate governance capacity improvement are key requirements, therefore, we are very interested in linking with economic schools, especially the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. In the past time, the cooperation of the two sides did have certain effects in terms of human resources, training, etc. We do hope that in the coming time, we will further improve the cooperation in accordance with the market context in order to better promote the resources of the two sides.”

Regarding students’ professional and skill requirements, Mr. Luc Quang Khanh - Deputy Director of NC9 HCMC Co., Ltd. - asserts that: “Determining the cooperative relationship between UEH and the Enterprise is one of the key strategies in educational development. After the signing program, NC9 confirmed that we will continue to have more extensive and extensive cooperation activities: sponsoring, providing accounting software for UEH, supporting students to practice to help them approach reality besides deploying diverse programs and activities to support the training and to develop UEH’s training quality in the upcoming time. The cooperation activities between the University and NC9 will contribute to improving UEH’s training quality; concurrently, supporting the supply of high-quality human resources to the enterprise’s personnel”.

At the signing ceremony, representatives of colleges inside and outside Vinh Long Province, Dr. Nguyen Dong Hai - Vice Rector of Kien Giang College - affirms: “The cooperation activity between UEH and Kien Giang College is a joint long-term connection activity. Kien Giang College will continue to accompany UEH in creating diverse activities in support of our training, especially the cooperation and opening of training classes. We do always wish to contribute to create qualified and dynamic human resources to meet the increasing requirements of the labor market”.

Representative of Vinh Long Tax Department, Ms. Le Thi Hong Linh - Deputy Director emphasizes that: “Vinh Long Tax Department is pleased to look forward to joining UEH to contribute a part of responsibility to the community as well as to help young generations with the best learning and working conditions in order to perform the task of training high-quality human resources that are capable of identifying and solving problems in the fields of economy, state management, especially management. In the signing ceremony, MSc. Vuong Khiet - Director of the Startup Incubator, UEH Institute of Innovation – shares further information related to “Startup Incubator” Program, implementing the project of incubation and establishment of an incubator at Vinh Long Branch. In terms of UEH, in addition to carrying out the mission - the task of training high-quality human resources, UEH implements various projects for the community. For example, in 2019, UEH established the “Startup Incubator”, Startup Project Incubation, Innovation Program, all of which aim to create opportunities for every project to develop the startup’s plan. “The start-up incubator is a non-profit program that UEH implements for its social responsibility to the community. With the desire to create a startup incubator for the young generation, at the same time, connecting resources and building a sustainable ecosystem for the startup community at the university. Infusing the fire, cultivating the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation in the young generation in general and among students in particular, plays an extremely important role. The Innovation Startup Incubator Program is aimed towards providing an opportunity for any project to develop an entrepreneur’s plan. The goal of the Innovation Incubator is to “Form a sustainable launchpad for successful companies of the future”. UEH looks forward to sharing and accompanying all of you in terms of the training and the evaluation of effective startup ideas and projects in the upcoming time with the purpose of arousing the spirit of UEH students’ entrepreneurship and innovation or ideas in the community.” is what shared by MSc. In the spirit of willingness to cooperate and accompany, the program was successfully completed with signed minutes. Closing remarks, Mr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Lieu - Standing Deputy Director of UEH Vinh Long Branch – concludes that: “With our internationalization strategy, UEH does hope that the connection between UEH and the business community will rise to a new level. With the goal of training high-quality human resources and training global citizens, UEH, in the upcoming time, will further promote the activities of linking agencies and businesses, focusing on training skills for students to train to meet practical requirements.
