UEH holding the Opening Ceremony of the Master's Course in Public Management in Khanh Hoa

On the morning of July 9th, 2022, at the Center for Continuing Education of Khanh Hoa province, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) in collaboration with Khanh Hoa Provincial Peoples Committee solemnly held the opening ceremony of the master's training course in Public Management in Khanh Hoa.

Attending the opening ceremony, from Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, there were: Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Khac Ha - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Department; Mr. Vo Hoan Hai - Director of Department of Education and Training; Ms. Tran Thu Mai - Director of Department of Home Affairs.

On behalf of UEH, there were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of the University Council; Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH; Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President; Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Deputy Head of UEH College of Economics, Law and Government, leaders of functional units together with 61 students who are cadres, servants and officers have passed the second round of UEH's entrance exam for master's level training in 2022.

This was the first Master Course in Public Management jointly trained by Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee with University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee would like to thank UEH leaders for supporting the province in training and improving the quality of human resources. “The opening of the Master Class in Public Management in Khanh Hoa will create favorable conditions for the province’s cadres, servants, and officers to improve their professional knowledge, education, and management capacity to meet the goals and requirements of human resources development in the province, contributing to building a really clean and transparent administration. The improvement of the quality of the province's human resources is an important basis for Khanh Hoa Province to step by step effectively implement the Politburo's Resolution No. 09 on the development of Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045; the action programs of the Government and the Provincial Party Committee to implement Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo; Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Khanh Hoa province” - Mr. Tuan shared.

The Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee also asked leaders of agencies and units with officers, servants, and employees participating in the course to create favorable conditions for their officers, servants, and employees to complete the learning task.

On behalf of the leaders of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH - shared: “Building and developing a contingent of cadres and servants, especially strategic level cadres, is one of the key breakthroughs in planning and implementing the guidelines and major decisions of the Party and Government to develop Khanh Hoa province. Understanding these requirements, UEH with its social responsibility, and at the same time as the leading key public university in public sector training in Vietnam wishes to contribute partially to promoting sustainable development for Khanh Hoa province in particular and the whole country in general through the development and implementation of a master's degree in Public Management in Khanh Hoa.” He suggested the students to arrange work, ensure class time and requirements of the subject, increase self-study, and work in groups to achieve high results in learning, thereby serving their work and contributing to local development.
