UEH Implements Nomination Process for Candidates to Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Term XI (2026–2031)

UEH organized conferences following the personnel nomination process at UEH Campus A
Attending the conference were: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao – Secretary of the Party Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Interim President; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong – Chairman of the UEH Strategic Development Council; Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh – Chairman of the Science and Training Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet – Chairwoman of the UEH Alumni Executive Board; Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy – Chairman of the Trade Union; along with leaders of Member Colleges, Departments, Schools/Institutes, and delegates convened according to the plan.
In compliance with central and municipal regulations on consultation and nomination of candidates for People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026–2031 term; pursuant to resolutions and guidelines of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Election Council, and Notification No. 255/TB-MTTQ-BTT of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City; UEH implemented the nomination process through three steps:
Step 1: The UEH Leadership Meeting was held to implement the approved guidelines and plan for the nomination process for candidates to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Term XI (2026–2031). On this basis, the UEH leadership collectively discussed, reviewed, and reached consensus on the structure, composition, and number of nominees allocated; while disseminating the standards, conditions, and implementation steps as prescribed.

Step 2: The Voters' Conference at the workplace gathered feedback, assessments, and expressions of confidence from the collective voters regarding Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao – Secretary of the Party Committee, the nominated candidate for the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Term XI (2026–2031); results were tallied and recorded in minutes in accordance with regulations.

Step 3: The Expanded UEH Leadership Meeting reviewed, evaluated, and reached consensus on the nominated candidate based on the results of the workplace voters' consultation.

During the Voters' Conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao expressed his honor and gratitude to the leadership collective and voters for their trust and nomination as a candidate for the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Term 2026–2031; while affirming his sense of responsibility and readiness to contribute his expertise, professional experience, and research outcomes to the overall development of Ho Chi Minh City and the nation.

The results recorded 100% of delegates present unanimously endorsing Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao as a candidate for the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Term XI (2026–2031), demonstrating the strong consensus of UEH leadership, officials, and employees.
Immediately following the series of conferences, the University promptly completed the documentation in accordance with regulations and deadlines, ensuring timely submission to relevant authorities as instructed. This represents a concrete action demonstrating UEH's commitment to bringing scientific knowledge into policy practice and contributing expert personnel to advance modern public governance. Through this, UEH reaffirms its position as a key university, always at the forefront of creating positive and sustainable values for the City's development.
