To share and accompany students facing difficulties caused by Typhoon No. 10 (Bualoi) in 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has implemented support programs for students in areas directly affected by the natural disaster, with three core policies: tuition fee reduction, support scholarships, and tuition payment deadline extension.
Nearly 3,000 students from 19 provinces and cities affected by the storm and floods will receive a 10% tuition fee reduction for the final semester of 2025.
Regular undergraduate students from Cohorts 48, 49, 50, and 51 with permanent residence registration in localities directly impacted by Typhoon No. 10 will receive a 10% reduction on their final semester 2025 tuition, which will be offset against their first semester 2026 tuition. For Cohort 48 students who have already graduated, the support amount will be transferred directly to their accounts.
Students from 19 provinces and cities affected by the storm and floods will receive tuition fee reductions, including: Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Ninh Binh, Hue, Son La, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Hai Phong City, Hung Yen, and Da Nang City.
UEH will award 100 scholarships, with 70 scholarships valued at over 14 million VND each for regular undergraduate students from Cohorts 48, 49, 50, and 51, and the remaining 30 scholarships, each valued at 12 million VND, for Regular Transfer and First Degree, Transfer - Work-Study Program students. The total scholarship value amounts to over 1.35 billion VND.

+ Students whose families face financial difficulties due to the impact of storm and floods
+ Have not received one scholarship of equivalent value and UEH's storm, flood, or natural disaster support scholarship
+ Have not been subject to disciplinary action at the reprimand level or higher during the scholarship evaluation semester
Students must complete their applications and register online at the UEH Student website (https://student.ueh.edu.vn/) from October 6 to October 23, 2025, and submit paper documents to the Department of Student Affairs (at Campus B - Room B1.111, UEH – 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Dien Hong Ward) from October 27 to October 31, 2025, for scholarship consideration.
Additionally, to support all students and families from the 19 provinces and cities in reducing financial pressure during this difficult time, UEH is also extending the tuition payment deadline for the first semester of 2026 to January 15, 2026.
"With total resources estimated at up to 7 billion VND to support nearly 3,000 students affected by Typhoon No. 10 (Bualoi) in 2025, the program not only helps students overcome immediate difficulties caused by natural disasters, but also affirms UEH's long-term commitment to building a sustainable, equitable, and community-connected learning environment. This also continues the tradition of accompanying students that UEH has steadfastly pursued for nearly 50 years of establishment and development, toward the goal of nurturing responsible global citizens ready to contribute to society's common development," shared Assoc.
