UEH International Cultural Festival 2025: Spreading the Spirit of Multicultural Exchange and Integration

02 Dec, 2025

On November 25, 2025, the Department of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the School of Foreign Languages and the Institute of Language and International Studies, organized the UEH International Cultural Festival 2025 to foster multicultural connections within the student community. This event is part of the activities leading up to UEH's 50th anniversary and reinforces the spirit of "Together, We Share – Embracing the Future Together" within the UEHer community.

An overview of the event, with participation from the Vietnamese and international student community

Attracting hundreds of participants, the UEH International Cultural Festival 2025 created a space to promote cultural exchange between international and Vietnamese students, celebrate cultural diversity and sustainability, and spread a spirit of connection within the learner community. The event also provided students with practical experience in communication, event management, arts, marketing, design, and leadership—all crucial competencies for global citizens.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ho Minh Thang, Program Director of the School of Foreign Languages and Vice Dean of the Institute of Language and International Studies at UEH, emphasized: "The UEH International Cultural Festival 2025 is not just a cultural day but also a bridge for students from many countries to meet, share, and understand one another. Through artistic performances, experiential booths, and interactive activities, young people will discover diverse cultural values while honing important skills for a global environment—from communication and event organization to creative thinking and cross-cultural collaboration. The experiences gained at this year's festival will become valuable assets, helping UEH students to integrate confidently and become responsible citizens in the international community."

A Space of Vibrant, Multicolored Cultures

The festival began with the Cultural Pavilion exhibition, featuring eight booths representing the cultures of Mexico, the United States, South Korea, India, Japan, Brazil, Level Up, and the UEH Language Institute. Each booth not only showcased unique cuisine, costumes, and games but also shared stories of history, tradition, and cultural identity, taking attendees on a "journey" through many nations: feeling the warmth of Mexico, the openness of the United States, the cultural depth of India, the refinement of Japan, the youthful vibrancy of South Korea, and the energetic dynamism of Brazil.

The festival kicked off with a diverse range of cultural booths and engaging exchange activities for students from various countries

The program continued with an international discussion session moderated by Level Up volunteers. During the exchange, speakers shared essential skills for integration, methods for understanding and respecting cultural differences, and principles of cross-cultural conduct in a global context. Going beyond specialized knowledge, the session provided new perspectives that helped boost students' confidence and adaptability in international environments.

Dynamic Artistic Performances Energize the Festival Atmosphere

The festival's atmosphere reached a crescendo with artistic performances that were rich in the cultural identity of each nation, all choreographed and performed by the students themselves. The combination of music, costumes, and performance styles created a vibrant visual and auditory feast that energized the entire event.

The UEH International Cultural Festival 2025 successfully created a meeting space where cultural values were shared and connected, and where students co-created meaningful international experiences. The moments of partnership, learning, and creativity from the festival will continue to inspire UEH to nurture a diverse, open, and globally integrated academic community.
