On July 26, 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) officially held the Opening Ceremony for Cohort 3 of the UEH CEO Program, continuing its journey to support Vietnamese business leaders in enhancing governance capabilities and fostering sustainable development.
Developed upon UEH's foundation of training and research, the UEH CEO Program partners with entrepreneurs and business leaders to systematize management thinking, enhance leadership capabilities, and build sustainable enterprises.
The program contributes to the goal of training and developing a cohort of CEOs, entrepreneurs, and next-generation leaders in alignment with the spirit of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development. For the 2025–2030 period, UEH aims to train 3,000 CEOs, entrepreneurs, and next-generation leaders in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring localities.

The Opening Ceremony was attended by, on the side of organizations, experts, and business managers: MSc. Nguyen Huynh Phuong Nam – former Senior Asset Management & Digital Transformation Manager at HEINEKEN Vietnam; Mr. Tran Van Tho – Tax Director – Business Tax, Deloitte Vietnam.
On the UEH side, attendees included: Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – UEH Vice President, Head of the UEH CEO Program Executive Board; Dr. Tran Anh Hoa – Vice Rector of the UEH School of Business; Dr. Nguyen Hoang Le – Director of the Institute of Human Resources and Business Development, Deputy Head of the UEH CEO Program Executive Board; along with members of the Executive Board, lecturers, training experts, program advisors, and participants of UEH CEO Program Cohort 3.
In his opening address, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai emphasized the increasingly important role of the private economic sector in the nation's development: "For the private economy to grow robustly and sustainably, Vietnam needs to build a cohort of entrepreneurs with courage, management expertise, innovation capability, risk management skills, and international integration mindset. This is also a responsibility that UEH wishes to share with the business community through systematic, continuous, and practically oriented training activities. Your choice to join Cohort 3 is not only an investment in knowledge but also a commitment to the sustainable development of your enterprises and the growth of Vietnam's private economic sector."

At the ceremony, Mr. Phan Minh Quan – CEO of Viet Long Hung Garment Co., Ltd., and Lean and Operations Manager of South Island Garment Company – speaking on behalf of Cohort 3 participants, expressed his pride in joining a learning community of leaders from diverse industries and management backgrounds: "I feel very proud to accompany fellow Founders, CEOs, business owners, and managers from various fields. Each person brings a unique story, journey, and experience. Today's knowledge may not suffice for tomorrow. Therefore, learning is no longer a choice but has become a responsibility for every leader."

The Executive Education Program – UEH CEO Program is designed with 1 orientation module, 15 core modules, and 1 supplementary module structured across 4 leadership competency development stages. The supplementary module, "Pressure Management and Mindfulness," equips participants with the ability to recognize pressure, manage personal energy, make decisions under stress, and build sustainable resilience – factors increasingly vital for leaders in today's business environment.

Following the opening ceremony, participants began the program with the module "Digital Transformation and AI Application in Business Management – SME Restructuring Strategy in the Digital Era," led by MSc. Nguyen Huynh Phuong Nam – former Senior Asset Management & Digital Transformation Manager at HEINEKEN Vietnam, a specialist with over 20 years of experience in operations and digital transformation at multinational corporations.

This opening module helped participants understand ongoing changes in the business environment while exploring how enterprises can apply technology and AI to restructure operations, enhance governance efficiency, and strengthen competitiveness.
With its three pillars: "Know Yourself – Innovate – Break Through," the Opening Ceremony of UEH CEO Program Cohort 3 reaffirms UEH's commitment to partnering with the national business community in developing leaders with strategic thinking, modern management capabilities, and adaptability to a dynamic business environment.
