Bridging Academic Depth with International Professional Competency Standards

Digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainable development, and global integration are rapidly reshaping the roles of accounting and finance professionals. Beyond technical expertise, the labor market increasingly demands professionals who can think strategically, exercise professional judgment, leverage technology and data, manage risks, and create value for organizations and society.

In this context, UEH is committed to designing educational programs that not only prepare learners to meet current workplace requirements but also develop the capabilities they need to adapt to and lead in a continuously evolving professional landscape.

The program launched on this occasion represents a concrete step in this direction. By combining UEH’s postgraduate education foundation with ACCA’s internationally recognized professional competency framework, the program provides learners with opportunities to develop academic depth, professional competencies, strategic thinking, and the ability to apply knowledge in practice.

This message also reflects UEH’s development orientation as it embarks on its next chapter following 50 years of development: continuing to innovate education, strengthening international integration, and developing collaborative models that create substantive value for learners and society.

This is the first Master’s program in Vietnam to integrate ACCA, aiming to connect postgraduate academic foundations with the internationally recognized ACCA professional qualification system. The program is expected to equip learners with in-depth knowledge of strategic accounting, finance, and corporate management, while enhancing their ability to adapt to professional environments in Vietnam and internationally.

Towards a Collaborative Ecosystem for Long-Term Value Creation

The partnership between UEH and ACCA was established in 2011 and has since developed through a wide range of activities in education and training, faculty development, professional expertise, sustainable development, and business engagement.

Looking ahead, UEH and ACCA aim to further expand their cooperation in education and training, faculty capacity development, research, sustainable development, and engagement with the business community.

Building on nearly 15 years of partnership, the two organizations seek to foster an ecosystem in which universities, international professional organizations, and businesses can leverage their respective strengths to develop accounting and finance professionals with strong expertise, strategic thinking, adaptability, and the capacity for international integration.
