From March 31, 2025, to April 1, 2025, a delegation from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), led by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Vice President of UEH, attended Kick-off Meeting of the “Accelerating the Development of the Digital Ecosystem in Vietnamese Higher Education” (ACCEES) Project and the International Conference “Digital Ecosystem in Vietnamese Higher Education within International Standards: Current Situation and Opportunities” as part of the project's activities.
The ACCEES project is funded by The project is funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) with a total approved budget of one million euros (equivalent to more than twenty seven billion VND), implemented in four years 2025-2028. Can Tho University is the main coordinator, alongside thirteen universities and government regulatory agencies from Vietnam and Europe, including: Eight domestic universities (University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City; Hanoi University, University of Transport and Communications, International Francophone Institute - International School - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, University of Danang - University of Science and Technology, Nong Lam University - Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education); Four international university partners (Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie - AUF, Universite de Strasbourg - France, Universite de Mons - Belgium, University of Patras - Greece); and one government agency (Department of Information and Statistics – Ministry of Science and Technology) will collaborate on the project implementation. Additionally, there are twelve businesses and socio-economic organizations participating as affiliated partners. This multi-party collaboration demonstrates a strong commitment to building a robust digital technology ecosystem for higher education in Vietnam.

The International Conference “Digital Ecosystem in Vietnamese Higher Education within International Standards: Current Situation and Opportunities” was also held on the same day in hydrid format. This event provided a valuable opportunity to gather initiatives aimed at strengthening the digital technology ecosystem and refining Vietnam’s digital technology strategy in higher education, based on international standards.
UEH's participation in the ACCEES project opens up many valuable opportunities for lecturers, staff, and students to access international resources, knowledge, and experience in digital transformation in higher education. UEH is committed to actively contributing to the overall success of the project, helping to build an advanced digital technology ecosystem that meets the demands of training high-quality human resources for the country in the context of deep international integration.
