From January 15-16, 2026, a delegation from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Interim President, attended the final conference of the Erasmus+ DIGITAL-MOVE project, themed "Shaping a Sustainable Future for Higher Education Through Digital Transformation," and the project's final meeting, held at the University of Danang.
An overview of the conference.
The DIGITAL-MOVE final conference brought together representatives from the 12 partner universities from Vietnam, Mongolia, France, and Slovakia to comprehensively assess the project's outcomes and discuss strategic directions for digital transformation in higher education. With a focus on building smart and sustainable universities through digital transformation and innovation, the conference highlighted institutional experiences in applying modern digital transformation frameworks and developing a digital culture to enhance the effectiveness of technology-based teaching and learning.
At the session, UEH shared its institutional digital transformation journey, emphasizing the role of the DIGITAL-MOVE project in supporting the university's efforts to enhance data-driven governance, develop an integrated digital infrastructure, and implement learner-centric digital education. The discussions at the conference also affirmed that digital transformation is a systematic, long-term process that is closely linked to the overall development strategy of each higher education institution, rather than being viewed as a standalone technology project.
Additionally, as part of the project's framework, the UEH delegation participated in the project's final Steering Committee meeting to discuss the coordination of remaining tasks and the final reporting phase. At the meeting, project members reviewed the implementation progress of the work packages, confirmed the completion level of the deliverables, and agreed on a roadmap for finalizing the technical and financial reports in accordance with the requirements of the Erasmus+ program.
