UEH Promotes Mental Health Initiatives to Foster Engagement Among Staff and Faculty

Throughout nearly 50 years of development, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has continuously prioritized mental wellness initiatives for its faculty, staff, and employees. These efforts create a dynamic, supportive environment that fosters professional growth and strengthens bonds within the community. Here are some of the standout activities from 2023.

University Day

On November 16, 2023, UEH hosted a gathering for retired faculty in celebration of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on its 41st anniversary (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2023). This traditional event honors the contributions of past educators, and this year’s event was especially significant as UEH celebrates its new interdisciplinary and sustainable academic vision.

New Year’s Gathering 2023

Kicking off the Year of the Cat, UEH hosted a festive New Year’s gathering on January 30, 2023. Leaders, faculty, and staff came together to welcome the new year with aspirations for continued success, fostering a positive atmosphere across the university.

Children's Day - "STEAM Festival: Creative Art Design - Moments of Childhood and Robot Technology Experience

On May 28, 2023, UEH’s Labor Union and the College of Technology and Design (CTD) organized "UEH Children's Day" for staff members' children. The morning session focused on the theme "STEAM Festival: Creative Art Design - Moments of Childhood," while the afternoon session focused on "STEAM Festival: Creative Art Design - Technology Experience with Robots." The program welcomed over 100 children of all ages.

UEH Family Day - Creative Lantern Design

Celebrating Vietnamese Family Day on June 28, 2023 on its 22nd anniversary (June 28, 2001 - June 28, 2023), the UEH Trade Union organized an event that provided union members and their families an opportunity to connect and share creative inspirations, highlighting the importance of family bonds.

As part of the activities celebrating the 22nd anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day (June 28, 2001 - June 28, 2023), UEH College of Business (COB) organized the “Dreaming of Fairyland” Family Day, fostering a warm, engaging space for faculty and staff families to connect and enjoy a range of creative activities, a joint initiative with UEH Trade Union.

UEH Staff and Faculty Sports Day 2023 - Building Unity

As part of the activities celebrating the 47th anniversary of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and in honor of the 41st Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, the UEH Trade Union successfully organized the traditional Staff and Employee Sports Day. The program effectively connected the solidarity of the UEH community, preparing for the journey towards a multidisciplinary and sustainable university.

University Day Karaoke Contest - “UEH EngKara Idol 2023”

In celebration of the 47th anniversary of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (October 27, 1976 - October 27, 2023) and the 41st Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2023), and particularly to welcome the new journey towards a multidisciplinary and sustainable university, the UEH Trade Union organized the English Karaoke Competition “UEH EngKara Idol 2023” for all staff and employees. After more than a month of activities, the competition reached its exciting finale with impressive performances.

The UEH EngKara Idol 2023 singing competition was a great success, featuring many impressive performances.

UEH affirms the commitment to the mental health of faculty, staff, and employees through these activities. Additionally, it highlights that mental health is a driving force for UEHers to be happy, and connected, and to fully unleash their potential.
