An overview of the Cooperation Agreement signing ceremony between UEH and PVcomBank

Attending the signing ceremony, on the UEH side, were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Quang Hùng - Secretary of the Party Committee, President of UEH; Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Đông Phong - Chairman of the UEH Development Strategy Council; Assoc. On the side of Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PVcomBank) were Mr. Nguyễn Đình Lâm - Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyễn Việt Hà - Deputy General Director; Ms. Nguyễn Thúy Hạnh - Deputy General Director cum Director of the Retail Banking Division; Ms. Nguyễn Thị Linh Chi - Deputy General Director; Mr. Đặng Thế Hiển - Deputy General Director; together with members of the Board of Directors and leaders of PVcomBank’s divisions and functional departments.

Speaking at the programme, Mr. Nguyễn Đình Lâm - Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVcomBank shared the direction of cooperation between PVcomBank and UEH, with the expectation of leveraging the strengths of both organizations and strengthening the connection between banking operations and training and human resource development, thereby delivering practical value to learners, customers and the community.

On behalf of UEH, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Quang Hùng - President of UEH emphasized the significance of strengthening university - business connections in the context of educational reform, digital transformation and ever-higher expectations for high-quality human resources. The cooperation agreement provides a basis for both sides to make effective use of their resources, strengths and networks, and to gradually give concrete shape to cooperation programmes that bring value to learners and society.

Multidimensional cooperation, linking education with business practice

The cooperation agreement between UEH and PVcomBank was built on the needs and strengths of both parties, working towards sustainable development on the principles of voluntariness, equality and mutual benefit, and in line with each organization’s functions, duties and regulations.

Under the agreement, the two sides will focus their collaboration on five main areas: 1) Training; 2) Digital transformation, facilities provision and student scholarships; 3) Talent development and career pathways; 4) Use of banking products and services; 5) Introducing business opportunities, communications and brand development.

Training linked to practice, developing high-quality human resources

One focus of the cooperation is strengthening the connection between UEH’s training activities and the real-world business environment. Accordingly, UEH students will have further opportunities to take part in the Practical Semester and internship programmes at the company, to experience professional roles relevant to their field of study, and to visit PVcomBank’s offices, branches and transaction offices.

The two sides also plan to jointly organize courses, training programmes, conferences and seminars in areas of shared interest such as economics, finance, banking, business and customer service. PVcomBank’s staff and experts may take part as visiting lecturers, guests or speakers in UEH’s training programmes, helping bring practical perspectives into the academic environment.

Cooperation in human resource development will also be promoted through Management Trainee programmes, recruitment activities and the UEH Job Fair, enabling students to access information about the company, enhance their professional skills and broaden their employment opportunities; while supporting PVcomBank in connecting with high-quality talent from the UEH community.

Accompanying the development of the educational environment and supporting learners

Alongside training and human resource development, UEH and PVcomBank will expand their cooperation in digital transformation, support for facilities and teaching equipment, and the delivery of scholarship programmes for UEH students, helping to enhance the quality of the learning environment and broaden opportunities to support learners.

The two sides will also work together to introduce cooperation opportunities and promote their joint programmes through appropriate channels, thereby strengthening connections between the University, businesses and partners within the ecosystem, and creating a foundation for developing new collaborative initiatives.

At the ceremony, Ms. Nguyễn Thúy Hạnh - Deputy General Director cum Director of the Retail Banking Division of PVcomBank and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Quang Hùng - President of UEH signed the agreement on behalf of the two organizations, witnessed by the leadership of UEH and PVcomBank.

The cooperation agreement marks a new step forward in the relationship between UEH and PVcomBank, laying the foundation for expanding joint programmes in training, human resource development, digital transformation and support for learners. Through the connection between academic knowledge and business practice, the two sides aim to develop a long-term cooperative relationship that delivers practical value to the community and society.
