In pursuit of equal access to education for all, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has intensified its scholarship and support programs for international students from developing countries and domestic students from rural regions. These initiatives aim to empower talented young individuals to overcome financial barriers and excel in their studies.

Financial aid policies for international students at UEH

In addition to financial aid policies for domestic students, UEH has expanded its scholarship policies for international students from developing nations. In 2023, UEH awarded 50 scholarships to students from Laos and Cambodia, 10 scholarships to students from Cuba, and 40 additional scholarships to students from other developing countries.

Scholarships for New Students Facing Hardships and Students in the Mekong Delta Region

Each year, UEH provides significant scholarships for outstanding new students, including those from challenging backgrounds. In 2023, the university awarded 900 scholarships to high-achieving and financially disadvantaged students. Of these, 165 were designated for incoming students facing financial hardship, while 90 special admissions scholarships were awarded to Mekong Delta students admitted to three key programs at UEH-Vinh Long Campus (KSV): Technology and Innovation, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and Agricultural Business. This support provides a strong foundation for producing a new generation of high-quality, well-rounded professionals, embodying the ethos of “Unbounded creativity. Empowered futures. Holistic values.”

UEH Global Project – “STEM Education Program”: Expanding Knowledge in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Technology, and Innovation at High Schools

In early 2023, UEH launched the STEM Education Program, which received enthusiastic responses from high school teachers and students in developing regions such as Khanh Hoa and Vinh Long. This initiative included events like The UEH Dancing Robot Contest, which inspired students from remote areas to engage with technology and begin their journey into advanced fields like “Robotics and Artificial Intelligence” and “Technology and Innovation.”
