UEH Student Scientific Research Festival 2023 - A place for UEH young research talents to shine

On March 3, 2024, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) Union successfully organized the UEH Student Scientific Research Festival 2023. The ceremony welcomed the participation of lecturers, collectives, and individual students who have excellent research works and topics in the Ministerial-level research awards and UEH Young Researcher Awards 2023. This was the result of the process of tireless efforts, demonstrating the spirit of inquisitiveness, creativity, and passion for scientific research of students at UEH.

Student scientific research activities: A journey to grow and to shine together

After nearly half a century of continuous development, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City is honored to become a multi-disciplinary university, marking an important step forward in its development process. This success is also shown through UEH's continuous participation and achievement of many awards and scientific research playgrounds in various fields.

Regarding UEH awards and activities, 147 topics won the UEH500 Awards, 457 topics won the UEH Young Researcher Awards, and 34 research projects achieved quality and were published in the Journal of Student Scientific Inquiry for Development No. 1 and No. 2. More notably, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City had 5 topics included in the golden table of the "Eureka Scientific Research Awards for Students” and were leading the number of awards with 23 topics in the National Science Contest for Students: "Olympiad for Econometrics and its Applications", of which 1 topic won the First Prize overall. In addition, there were 46 students whose research projects won the Science and Technology Awards for Students in Higher Education Institutions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, including 2 Second prizes, 6 third prizes, and 4 consolation prizes.

The scientific research awards that UEH students have achieved at all levels are not only a source of pride but also a testament to the perseverance and dedication of both students and lecturers. These successes are the motivation for the UEH community to continue to strive and develop in the future.

The UEH Student Scientific Research Festival 2023 took place with the participation of delegates and lecturers who supervised excellent research projects that won awards, and nearly 2,000 students with high achievements at competitions and awards for scientific research for students at all levels.

Scientific research activities of UEH students have obtained impressive achievements in recent times. This has been the result of the clear direction from the UEH Party Committee - Board of Directors, along with the close attention and guidance of the Research - Development and Global Engagement Department. Opening the UEH Student Scientific Research Festival 2023, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen - Standing Deputy Head of the Research - Development and Global Engagement Committee shared the importance and the orientation of developing student scientific research activities at the ceremony.

Besides, on the evening of March 3, 2023, Mr. Vo Duc Hoang Vu - Deputy Head of Research - Development and Global Engagement - shared and summarized the scientific research achievements of the UEH student community, as well as orientations for research activities in the future.

Achievements on the scientific research journey of UEH students

At the ceremony night, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City Union presented bouquets of flowers and the most sincere thanks to 62 supervisors who achieved excellent results in the Science and Technology Awards for Students in Higher Education Institutions, Euréka Scientific Research Awards for Students, Olympiad Awards in Econometrics and its Applications, UEH Young Researcher Awards 2023.

UEH students actively participate in scientific research activities, from academic competitions to accumulate knowledge and experience to implementing scientific research projects. Many excellent research projects of UEH have been honored and nominated for city-level and ministerial-level awards, affirming the efforts and talents of UEH students.

The UEH Young Researcher Awards 2023 recognized 457 excellent topics, from more than 1,700 participating students. Among them, 79 topics won the A prize, 195 topics won the B prize and 183 topics won the C prize. Notably, the number of participating students not only increased significantly compared to previous years but also the quality of the topics was also highly appreciated by the professional council. This shows progress in investment and development of scientific research among UEH students.

The year 2023 ended with brilliant marks in the scientific research activities of students of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. It can be stated that this is a year that marks many proud milestones with a series of outstanding achievements recorded. The UEH student community has continuously strived, dedicating their intelligence and creativity to bring valuable and highly applicable research topics. With the impressive achievements in the past year, the Organizing Committee believes that UEH will continue to achieve more success in the journey of creating common values and affirming UEH's position on the global education map.
