UEH Study Tour 2026: A 7-Day Learning and Experience Journey in Thailand

From March 16 to 22, 2026, students from the School of Foreign Languages, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), participated in the UEH Study Tour 2026 – Thailand Tourism & Cultural Immersion Week with SPU at Sripatum University (Thailand). Over 7 days, the program offered a series of learning, experiential, and networking activities, helping students engage with an international environment in a comprehensive way.

Welcome Session – The Journey Began

The program opened with a welcoming session at Sripatum University. Representatives of the University introduced an overview of the academic programs, activities, and learning environment at SPU. The friendly and open atmosphere from the very first days helped UEH students quickly integrate and prepare for the journey ahead.

Learning and exchanging with Thai students

One of the highlights of the program was the opportunity to learn and interact directly with Thai students. During classes and group activities, UEH and SPU students discussed, exchanged ideas, and collaborated on academic tasks.

Through this process, students not only improved their English communication skills but also learned how to work in a multicultural environment and gained a better understanding of the differences in thinking and learning styles across countries.

Tourism learning and workshop activities

UEH students attended specialized classes on Tourism and Hospitality with SPU lecturers, focusing on modern tourism trends and practical perspectives of the industry.

In addition, the program also featured experiential workshops such as making traditional Thai drinks and learning traditional dance. These highly practical activities helped students approach local culture in a vivid and engaging way.

Campus Tour - Exploring the learning environment at SPU

UEH students had the opportunity to tour the Sripatum University campus and learn about its facilities, learning spaces, and student life. This activity provided a practical view of an international education environment while also helping students broaden their perspectives on the university experience in the region.

Ayutthaya & Bangkok City Tour

The excursion to the former capital of Ayutthaya - a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Thailand - was one of the highlights of the program. Students had the opportunity to learn about the country’s history, architecture, and distinctive cultural values. In addition, the Bangkok city tour gave students a chance to experience the modern and dynamic pace of life in Thailand’s capital.

Thai cuisine experience

Cuisine is an essential part of the journey. UEH students had the opportunity to enjoy many characteristic Thai dishes, from local specialties to street food. Through this, they not only discovered new flavors but also gained a deeper understanding of the culture and lifestyle of the local people.

Certificate Ceremony & Farewell

The program concluded with a certificate ceremony recognizing completion, jointly confirmed by the UEH Language Institute (UEH-LI) and Sripatum University. This marked the acknowledgment of students’ learning efforts and active participation throughout the journey. The farewell took place in a warm atmosphere, with many moments of sharing and connection between students from both universities, bringing the journey to a close with memorable experiences.

After 7 days, UEH Study Tour 2026 not only provided academic knowledge but also helped UEH students grow more mature in an international environment. The experiences in learning, culture, and connection contributed to creating a meaningful journey and opened up many future career opportunities.
