On the afternoon of March 20, 2026, the Development Strategy Council of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) for the 2025–2030 term held its first meeting to exchange views and reach consensus on key issues, serving as the basis for shaping strategic decisions for the University’s new development phase.

At the opening of the meeting, Prof. Nguyen Dong Phong, Chairman of the UEH Strategic Development Council, delivered the opening remarks and outlined the key topics for discussion. In the context of UEH entering a new phase of development with many long-term strategic goals, the meeting was of great significance in refining foundational development orientations.

In a spirit of seriousness, responsibility, and constructiveness, Council members took time to discuss each item presented at the meeting and contributed many practical comments to improve the strategic proposals.

Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Interim President – presented the draft Development Strategy of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City for 2025–2030, with a vision to 2045.

M.A. Duong Minh Man – Head of the Human Resources and Organisation Development Department – presented the proposal Enhancing UEH Human Resources Quality – Top 250 Asia, 2025–2030.
The contents presented and discussed at the meeting helped clarify UEH’s key development orientations in the new phase, especially the long-term strategic vision, priority goals through 2030, the vision to 2045, and solutions for developing a team capable of meeting the requirements of improving UEH’s quality, standing, and competitiveness in the region.

Delegates engaging in focused exchange and discussion
The first meeting of the UEH Development Strategy Council for the 2025–2030 term recorded a high level of consensus on many important issues. This continues to affirm the Council’s role in providing consultation, companionship, and intellectual contributions in refining foundational contents, serving as the basis for strategic decisions and contributing to UEH’s goal of remaining in Asia’s Top 250 by 2030 and reaching Top 150 by 2045.
