University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University to train the next generation of global leaders for Vietnam

University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (UEH) and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) jointly launch the International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) Program in Vietnam on October 12, 2023.

Overview of the launching event

The IMBA program is expected to officially begin in August 2024, aiming to provide a comprehensive business education, combining the common expertise of both universities to equip students with the skills and knowledge critical to thriving in a green and technologically advanced economy.

Upon completion of the program, students will be awarded the NTU MBA degree issued by NTU Singapore. In addition, graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion in Business Administration from UEH. This dual certification underscores the program's commitment to providing a comprehensive educational experience.

UEH and NTU Singapore launched the IMBA program in Vietnam to provide comprehensive business education for thriving in the green economy and advanced technology.

UEH President - Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh said: "The cooperation between UEH and NTU Singapore combines the expertise of the two universities to promote global knowledge exchange, leadership development and human resource training to contribute to the economic growth of both countries. This partnership program will provide academicians with comprehensive learning experiences. With the participation of lecturers from the two schools, the program combines global thinking with a deep understanding of the local context in Vietnam." At UEH, the program is operated by the Institute of Business Research - University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and School of Management - UEH College of Business in Vietnam.

The IMBA program's interdisciplinary curriculum places special emphasis on technology and innovation. First and foremost, the program aims to provide students with a solid foundation in business principles while ensuring a comprehensive understanding of current and future technologies and innovations.

Typically, the subject "Technology Strategy and Innovation" will introduce advanced technological advances, including machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), cyber-physical systems, horizontal and vertical integrated systems. This enables students to grasp the potential impact of these advances on business and encourages innovative thinking to boost productivity, improve efficiency and enhance the competitiveness of their business.

Besides, as a leading business school affiliated with a prestigious university of technology, Nanyang Business School is the perfect choice to implement the NTU-UEH International MBA program.

It is known that English will be the language of instruction for this program. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or educational institution and have at least two years of full-time work experience. Additionally, candidates will undergo an assessment of their cognitive abilities and analytical skills. This process will assess candidates' qualifications for the program and their potential for success in a rigorous academic environment.
