University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City Signing a Memorandum of Understanding with National Economics University for the period 2025-2030: Continuing to Strengthen the beneficial Traditional Relationship between the Two Universities

On the foundation of promoting the good traditional cooperative relationship between University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and National Economics University (NEU), within the framework of the visit and working session at the National Economics University, UEH and NEU officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the period 2025-2030. The ceremony is an important milestone, continuing to affirm and elevate the nearly 40-year traditional cooperative relationship between the two leading universities in the field of economics, management and business administration in Vietnam to a new level.

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) were: Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President and Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President. On behalf of National Economics University (NEU), there were Prof.Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - President; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong - Vice President; Assoc. Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hieu - Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Huu Dong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University's Union and former lecturers and leaders of NEU in different periods. Representatives of leaders of Schools, Faculties, Institutes, Departments, Centers and officials of the two units also attended the program.

On behalf of the delegation, Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH - expressed his thanks for the warm and thoughtful welcome of the National Economics University, and emphasized the close and unprecedented relationship in the education system in Vietnam between the two institutions. Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh highly appreciated the achievements in the sustainable cooperation relationship between NEU and UEH, and hoped that the two sides would continue to promote this relationship in the new period to support each other in the development process. He also sent a warm invitation to NEU leaders to visit and work at UEH in the upcoming time, and hoped that the relationship between the two units would continue to be nurtured, maintained and developed sustainably for a long time.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof.Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - President of NEU - remarked that the signing ceremony of this MOU was an important milestone, starting a new phase and helping to further tighten the traditional relationship with a history of nearly 40 years between NEU and UEH. Prof.Dr. Pham Hong Chuong hoped that in the upcoming time, this good traditional relationship would develop more and more, contributing to improving the training quality and position of both universities and worthy of being leading universities in economics in the two regions of the country.

With the desire to cooperate to improve the overall quality of training, scientific research and consulting, continue to develop the long-standing good traditional relationship and to connect the staff, officials, experts and researchers between the two units, UEH and NEU agreed to raise the cooperation activities in the period of 2025 - 2030 to a new level. Specifically, in accordance with the MOU in the period of 2025 - 2030, UEH and NEU will work together in the following areas: 1) Training; 2) Scientific research and publication; 3) International cooperation; 4) University governance; 5) Union organizations and Alumni Network with diverse forms and rich content, suitable for the organizations and units of the two universities, together aiming for development, prosperity and contributing to the common development of the country.

The signing ceremony of the MOU between UEH and NEU for the 2025 - 2030 period once again affirmed the strong and good traditional relationship between the two universities, at the same time, it promoted the realization of the strategies of both units with practical action programs deployed immediately after the signing ceremony.

In addition, within the framework of the visit and working session at the National Economics University, UEH and NEU discussed and exchanged experiences on international cooperation, university rankings, digital transformation, and scientific research and innovation activities.

NEU and UEH have a close relationship throughout their development, thanks to the care and nurturing of many generations of leaders of the two universities. In particular, in recent years, the cooperation between NEU and UEH has developed more comprehensively, going into many professional activities, expanding to faculties, departments and offices. Every year, the two schools have specific working trips and coordinated activities that contribute to the completion of important tasks for the two units.

The visit of the UEH delegation at NEU this time is not only an opportunity for the two units to develop and to preserve the good traditional relationship that has existed for nearly 40 years between the two leading universities in the fields of economics, management and business administration in Vietnam, but also an opportunity for the two sides to discuss and to learn from experiences and models in university management and administration, to develop together and to contribute towards the cause of education and the sustainable development of the country and society.
