On August 2, 2024, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The University of Hong Kong, opening up important cooperation opportunities in training, academic research, and international exchange programs for students.
The MoU between UEH and The University of Hong Kong is one of the important Memorandums of Understanding signed at the Vietnam - Hong Kong (China) Signing Ceremony on August 2, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the week-long visit and working trip in the ASEAN region of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), led by Mr. Lee Ka-Chiu, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
Present at the signing ceremony, on behalf of Ho Chi Minh City, was Mr. Phan Van Mai - Chairman of the City People's Committee, on behalf of UEH was Dr. Dinh Cong Khai, Vice President of UEH, along with leaders of businesses, universities, and research institutes in the city.
At the ceremony, the delegates from both sides discussed cooperation activities in many fields listed as finance and insurance; innovation and technology; professional services; infrastructure, transportation and supply; energy and hotels, aiming to strengthen economic, trade, and investment relations. In particular, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and The University of Hong Kong agreed and signed a MOU on the following contents: full-time Master's scholarship programs for the best students of UEH, cooperation in educational management, exchange of academic information, international student exchange program, and joint research activities, seminars, conferences and other cooperation activities to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Hong Kong (China).

The signing of the memorandum of understanding between the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and the University of Hong Kong has marked an important milestone in the cooperation in education and academic research between the two schools. Hopefully, in the future, UEH and The University of Hong Kong will successfully realize the proposed cooperation activities, not only contributing to creating international educational and research opportunities but also promoting cultural exchanges and further fostering the friendship between Vietnam and Hong Kong.
