University of Economics. Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) extending cooperation with Khon Kaen University (KKU), Thailand

On August 24, 2023, a meeting and working session between the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and Khon Kaen University (KKU) took place on the premise of promoting and extending the cooperation between the two universities in the fields of education and research. This meeting marked an important step in promoting partnership between the two Universities and contributed to the comprehensive development of both educational institutions.

During the visit and work at UEH, the KKU delegation is comprised of: Mr. Surapon Petch-vra - Vice Chairman of the University Council; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul - Principal; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Peerasit Kamnuansilpa - Head of the Faculty of Local Administration; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pensri Jaroenwanit - Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accounting; Dr. Sakchai Jarernsiripornkul - Dean of the Graduate School of Management; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Sirimonbhorn Thipsingh - Dean of Faculty of International Studies; and senior leaders of KKU attending the working session.

On behalf of UEH, there was the participation of Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President of UEH; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Khanh Nam - Deputy Head of UEH College of Economics, Law and Government; Dr. Dinh Thi Thu Hong - Deputy Head of UEH College of Business; Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Deputy Head of Scientific Management and International Cooperation; Mr. Vo Duc Hoang Vu - Deputy Head of Scientific Management - International Cooperation; along with teachers and leaders of units under UEH attending the working sessions.

Overview of the meeting

The meeting focused on cooperation issues, including teaching, research and student exchange. Specific cooperation programs proposed in the signed memorandum of understanding are as follows:

Student Exchange: Two Universities will promote student exchange programs, allowing students at UEH and KKU the opportunity to experience the educational system and culture of each country.

Research and Development: UEH and KKU are committed to strengthening cooperation in the field of research and development, especially in areas related to economics, management, and social sciences.

Knowledge Sharing: Two Universities will promote the sharing of knowledge and experience in the process of managing and developing training programs, especially in the rapidly changing modern world.

Joint conferences and academic activities: UEH and KKU will jointly organize seminars, conferences, and joint events to promote knowledge exchange and discussion on important issues in education and research.

The cooperation between UEH and KKU in the coming time will help develop the process of connection and international cooperation, and promote the relationship between Vietnam and Thailand in the field of comprehensive education. It helps create many learning and career opportunities for UEH students.

To mark this important meeting, UEH presented KKU with a meaningful gift, handcrafted by students of UEH Department of Media Design - a gift that represents UEH efforts in promoting students’ creativity and arts.

With frank and open sharing and exchange, the meeting took place extremely effectively, opening up deeper cooperation in training and research in the future.
