With the mission of cultivating a dynamic, responsible, and action-oriented young generation for sustainable development, on the afternoon of May 22, 2025, the UEH Green Campus Project organized the workshop “Green Skills to 17 SDGs Impact – Co-Creation: What Can Students Do to Contribute to SDG 11, SDG 13?” in partnership with the ACI Youth Leadership Summit. The event was a resounding success, providing an open and inspiring academic environment where students were not only equipped with green knowledge and skills aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), but also had the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and jointly propose solutions to global challenges.

[Research Contribution] Applying Ho Chi Minh’s Ideology on Environmental Protection in Environmental Education for Students Towards a Green University

Environmental education is necessary and must be focused on in the current context. In many speeches and articles, President Ho Chi Minh mentioned the issue of environmental protection with critical theoretical and practical arguments. Based on the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, the research group from University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) aims to clarify UEH students’ awareness of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology on environmental protection and actions on environmental protection toward building a green university. The study suggests solutions to improve the effectiveness of applying Ho Chi Minh’s ideology on environmental protection to environmental protection education for students, aiming to build the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City as a green university in line with the sustainable development orientation set by the Party.

As a typical model of the green - smart - modern university of the city over the past 50 years, Nguyen Van Linh Campus of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) plays the role of a training, research and innovation center and an academic space connecting the community, spreading knowledge and inspiring sustainable development. With a synchronous scale, advanced architecture and operation according to international standards, the project has been honored by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City as a typical construction project of Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), according to Decision No. 1590/QD-UBND dated April 24, 2025.
