From April 13 to 19, 2026, the UEH Partnerships Summit & Career Fair 2026 “Embracing Co-Created Futures,” organized by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), was successfully held, recording nearly 14 billion VND in contributions while connecting more than 5,000 high-quality job opportunities to students, learners, and workers. Beyond delivering tangible value, the event also marks an important transition of the program “Connecting Community – Sharing Knowledge – Sustainable Action” from building a connection platform to co-creating value with the community and society.

In that context, gamification elements have been incorporated into learning to make it more engaging. But does "learning while playing" really help students improve their learning effectiveness, or does it just make the experience more enjoyable? To provide convincing answers to these concerns, a group of students from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) conducted a study titled "Analyzing the effect of gamification on learning effectiveness through applications for self-directed learning: Using elements of the ARCS model," aiming to clarify the effects of gamification on students' motivation and learning effectiveness in a self-directed learning environment.
